A friend of mine told me this morning about this new digital bank that allows people to create a US bank

Does someone know more about them?

Sounds like transferwise clone. Xapo also announced how they will transfer into US digital bank. Will see what will be from it.

Doesn't appear to be FDIC insured, but if they can receive/send ACH's and Wires, could be a viable option for those in USA needing some type of passthrough business account if they're in a position where it's hard to get one through a 'normal' bank.

Very few US banks aren't FDIC insured, and most of those are grandfathered. Credit Unions have their agency. If it isn't insured, it probably is using a bank rather than being a bank. Look closely at the rules or you could wind up losing your dough.
