OnlyFans said it has dropped plans to ban pornography from its service, less than a week after the U.K. content-creator subscription site had announced the change citing the need to comply with policies of banking partners.

On Wednesday, the company said it “secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community,” suggesting that it has agreements with banks to pay OnlyFans’ content creators, including those who share sexually explicit material.

They seemed to backpedal pretty fast! Maybe the voices of the industry are being heard? Or they saw the amount of money they would be losing?

I hope this opens the eyes of content creators. Build your own site that you control with reputable companies that started in the adult industry and have your back as a sex worker.

Very true. It was a wake up call: don't rely on any one platform (point of failure in the software world).

Nowadays I don't think platforms are a risk though, you can always move. What is more problematic is new legislations. The day a zealous politician decides to increase restrictions to add a line on his cv, then everyone is impacted. I can see that coming.

I still stand by everything I wrote about this over the last few days. It's not about retail banking woes. If adult billers can pay out merchants on time very time since the 90's, OF can find a bank that will take them.

I think like always, most models aren´t scared, as i´m not worried and wasn´t. I´m on plenty of platforms and have an income from most of the clips sites and my own site with MC and page on FC...

most models sadly like people do, didn´t like the idea of a good earner being stopped, understandable, but realistically, all platforms can earn anyone an income if you work at it and are good to your fans, making a rapport for people to want to know you and come back.
