Yeah we found an error where the validation of 2 fields flipped.
You found the few hours that it was a bug.

All working now and we've been processing more each day.
Feel free to PM if you have any issues. Here to help.

live chat gave me tip to just refresh, it worked, app completed. Hope this is true, they should give extra compensation to people who live in draconian states like PA, NJ and NY

I have been approved and waiting for it to hit the bank since 2 days ago.

But, I hit them up through their support email because of lack of communication coming from their end.

Wasn't going to say anything yet, was going to wait till it was all done before I gave any kind of review of the process.

They have some communication quirks to work out.

Someone on their facebook messenger helped me, and resubmitted the form without the error that I had made. I guess I'm back at Day 1 but it should move along now.

Yeah, that's the kind of communication quirk I meant. It would seem that you should have had some kind of communication back as to the status of the app.

Upon signing up, should have been an email or text confirmation of some kind I think. I didn't see anything.

Upon submission of the app there should have been sime kind of communication back, nada.

Each step should have activated some kind of confirmation to be sent, I would think.

Still waiting to see how it comes out. The walk through the app was easy enough.

My funds showed up in my bank this morning.

First of all, thank you for offering the service. All in all it was a fairly smooth process and your site made it much easier with the "walk through" approach to the application.

Please take everything below as simply "constructive criticism".

My only complaints would be about communication. I noted earlier in this thread that, in my opinion, there should have been some communication confirmations throughout the process so I will not repeat that part again.

I will note that (again, strictly in my opinion) the emails that do get sent along the process should more readily identify blueacorn as the sender. I have emails back from "Info Main Email". This looks like many of the Spam email addresses that I delete daily.

The documents to be signed came from "Funding Department via Docusign". These were from Docusign so while BlueAcorn would not have control of them, I feel that it would have been good to alert me that that is where they would be coming from, again, to separate them from the Spam.

Yesterday, I got a status update email from BlueAcorn, it was the only actual Status update I got throughout the process. I assume that this is something new that you started and it is a good addition to the process.

I started the process on February 24. The Funds are in my bank as of this morning March 8. That is 7 or 8 bussiness days depending on how you count them. That is a great time line for something like this.

All together I would give the entire experience an "A".

The only issues I saw were with communication and I am kind of anal about communication. If there had been confirmations along the process I would have given an A+.

You did a great job.

Thank you very much for your time and efforts in putting all of this together.

Seems they've taken your advice. I started the process yesterday and received a well defined email today from Blue Acorn regarding the status of my app and the remainder of the process.

I couldn't find anything in the FAQ regarding how a forgiven PPP loan is viewed by the Feds for next year's taxes. Is it considered income that will need to be reported?

Good stuff.

I probably should have mentioned in my post that everytime I sent a note to support I got a very quick reply from a real person. Sorry for leaving that out.

>>> To have your loan 100% forgiven, you’ll need to have:ha
- ha Spend that money within 24 weeks (6 months)
- ha Employee and compensation levels are maintained (which if you’re self-employed is just you)
- ha At least 60 percent of the proceeds are spent on payroll costs, and the rest goes to other eligible expenses (wages / payroll, mortgage interest, rent, utilities, taxes, benefits, etc).ha
Then we’ll help you fill out the paperwork needed. You’ll need to provide some documentation that proves you actually spent it accordingly (like a bank statement), and you can have it 100% forgiven.

Funds have been flowing and we are seeing thousands of people moving every day.

The issue we are having is we are scaling so quickly that support is having issues keeping up.

I want the industry to take advantage b/c we are the last to be thought of and this is for us.

I think he is more specifically asking, will he be taxed as income? Sort of like getting taxed as income for a judgement against you.

PPP does not count as taxable income.

Is PPP loan forgiveness taxable?
The CARES Act spells out that the forgiven loan amount won’t be included in taxable income. That means you don’t pay taxes on the money that you receive. The aim of this loan is to provide businesses with the money to keep running and continue paying employees, not to create a tax burden for businesses receiving the funds.

Is it ok to take 100% of funds for payroll if sole proprietor? Meaning pay myself from one bank account to another.

I applied and made some mistakes on the form (and sent in the wrong document as well). They did a good job of contacting me via email and text letting me know what was wrong and how to fix it. The whole process was pretty smooth.

Blueacorn seems to be a bit overwhelmed at the moment. I'm almost 2 weeks into the process and still waiting on Docusign.

I suggest you search your inbox and spam folder for emails coming from:
[email protected] and [email protected]

If you do not find anything, immediately write to: [email protected], and cc [email protected], and let them know.

Good luck!
