Production Hold Issued by PASS After Positive HIV Test 🚨

PASS (Performer Availability Screening Services) has issued an immediate preliminary production hold across the adult industry after a performer tested positive for HIV.

👉 The hold applies to all scenes involving fluid exchange, including work by independent creators, and will stay in effect until further notice.

PASS is currently conducting contact tracing and retesting. The hold could last just a few days if all exposed performers are cleared quickly, but could extend up to 14 days if risks or delays arise.

❗ What’s Paused:

Penetrative sex scenes
Oral sex with ejaculation
Shared toy use
Any acts involving bodily fluid exchange

✅ What’s Still Allowed:

Solo content
Non-shared toy use
Masturbation near a partner
Kissing
Non-fluid-exchange BDSM scenes

PASS urges full compliance and reminds performers: anyone who chooses not to work during this time must be respected.

These holds are rare but vital in protecting the health of the performer community.

🛑 Safety comes first — always.

so is the idea that someone lied or faked their pass? or did the testing facility make a mistake?

Umm no, quite the opposite. I don't think anyone lied or faked their test. But I could be wrong! We'll see...

Granted I'm not a doctor, but considering that it can take several months for an HIV infection to show up on a test, while I believe you need to get tested every few weeks -- there is always the off chance that an infection becomes detectable during that window.

Not necessarily faked or any error involved, just unfortunate.

what a strange thing to infer. This is what I would assume happened based on all of the previous infections - The performer had a negative test and filmed using that negative test for the 2 week period. and then when they retested it popped positive.

So now you have to retest all the performers who filmed with that person during those 2 weeks. This is the first generation.

Then you have to find all the performers who worked with the first generation performers and retest them as well. This is the second generation.

Usually the initial positive performer contracted HIV from someone outside of the testing pool.

The time it takes for HIV to show up on a blood test depends on the type of test used. Antibody tests, the most common, can detect HIV 23-90 days after exposure, while antigen/antibody tests can detect HIV 18-90 days after exposure. Nucleic acid tests (NATs) can detect HIV 10-33 days after exposure

although anything is possible I was merely curious as to what they found was the reason

No fake test. Some guy popped after coming home from XBIZ Miami. We don't know who just that he's a mainstream performer.
