How do I stop MS Word from creating hyperlinks?

Everytime I type an URL or e-mail in Word it turns it into a hyperlink.

How do I stop it from doing this?

I don't have word on this computer, but if I remember correctly, you right click the link and it should have an option that will take you to a page where you can take off the hyperlink...

Thanks, but I already knew how to remove links.

What I want to know is how to prevent them from being added automatically.
