Last time it was down a few days ago, I emailed them and they replied saying it was a bad switch. That this wasn't typical of there service. Which I believe because before I signed up, I heard nothing but good stuff about them.

I have a couple sites hosted on Techie and they were down for a few hours, but kinda non-vital hours, like 11pm pst to like 3 or 4 am pst. Plus I don't have shit for listings or traffic today.

Everything's copacetic now.

One thing to keep in mind ya'll: Techie is a new venture but it's run by established players, so they will get their shit stacked soon. They're trying to do webmaster's a serious solid by providing the best quality hosting at some of the lowest prices in the industry.

There have been some growing pains, but knowing the Techie guys as I do, I can guarantee that they're working their asses off to get uptime back where it was and to come up with a way to make these outages up to their webmasters.

Guess who has been down again? I will give you three guesses, and for a hint take a look at the title of this thread.

Are their virtual servers going down so often, or is only the network going down every day?
I mean so many downtimes in a row are very rare and shouldn't happen, but as so many people are affected as it seems I assume it's their network and not just one server which isn't better though.

What do they say about the problem? Are they working on it? A bad switch can't be messing up everything for that long, really.

I don't know what their problem is...this last time, my site wasn't actually down. If you went to the site there was a bunch of mysql error crap all over the page, and if you kept scrolling down you could finally see my page. That was pretty much all day yesterday. Then when it finally looked normal, early this morning, i tried to log in to my cjultra admin to try to get my trades going again, and it wouldn't let me in-bad password. Also, I can't login to ftp. And my php stats don't work. I don't care what anybody says, in my book they suck shit, I want my few dollars back, and good riddance.

The problem is that they arent saying anything, I have had no response to emails or icqs, its like this everytime they have a problem, luckily i dont have any major sites on their server, but I am still very pissed considering that I have paid for this so call service.

Yeah, they haven't responded to my emails, they don't answer the phone. I icq'd the guy twice last night and my contact list showed him as being online...about an hour or two later I get an icq back from him that said "one minute..." that was last night and the last I heard from him.

They maybe be having temporary growth problems like someone alluded to in another thread, but they are completely unprofessional about tackling these problems. I say they fucking suck dick. Like that one thread where they posted Fart's private info, and said he was trashing them on the boards. I can't say whether or not he was paying his bills or trying to cheat them, but their shit was totally fucked up at the time and a lot of people's sites were down. Has anyone seen any kind of apology or explanation on the boards, other than the "bad switch crap??? I sure haven't!

They have done a horrible job of late with customer service. When the last outage happened, last weekend, when I did finally get a hold of wayne, I asked him why he didnt notify everyone to let them know what was going on. He responded with "well... if your ever an admin you'll learn it's not quite that simple...". Bullshit, it is that simple, just a simple email to your customers explaining what the problem was and what has been done to avoid it in the future.

I have already gotten another host to take care of my sites, and if I can ever ftp into my account again I will remove my files from their server.

They have been completely unprofessional about the situation.

I agree with the above two posts. Professionalism is a big part of any business. Anytime any aspect of that business shows through otherwise - you need to be careful.

Of course, apparently, up until recently - everything was fine.

You might want to take a look at www.prohosters.com.

I do not work for them and haven't even talked to them, but their setup is professional and they tell you IN DETAIL what you get.

They responded very quickly and set me up on the weekend without any problems.
