Discuss what's fucking going on, and which programs are best and worst. One-time "program" announcements from "established" webmasters are allowed.

Who's running a firewall ...??

I just watched a show about hackers and firewalls and it made me paranoid. I used to run zone alarm but it was such a pain in the ass and fucked with my ftp and icq. It would freeze up explorer a lot too.

I'm sure 90+% of us webmasters have "always on" connections of one type or another so do you think we should have fire walls up or is it pointless...?? If you do use one, which one is it..?? zonealarm alternatives..??

These so called "attacks" are just scriptkiddies scanning for a sub7 or BO infected computer. As long as you didn't run a trojan server, these "attacks" will cause no harm.

Just use a router....personal firewalls are truly for the paranoid.
