Y'all are cracking me up with airplane stories. Sykkboy...I've never met you....hope to, one day..but I've read your posts and articles....and I want to thank you for giving me this line to use on the next screaming child, whose parents are inconsiderate enough to think every kid can tolerate no air, no food, no comfort for hours and hours on end.

Why is that? I go to stores and screaming children are all over the place, their parents immune to their cries. Is shopping so damned important that I must be burdened?

Did you know? Hospitals charge double occupancy, if the person does not fit in a 'normal' sized bed?

The operating room will also double their charges for those rotund, overly overweight personages. I believe the cut off is around 350-400 lbs. It gets real expensive being THAT overweight.

Is not the size and limited space between the economy seats the real problem? I mean are they not cramped but for the very slim? I am pretty sure they have gotten smaller and smaller over the years while the general population is getting wider and wider. I understand the need for better yield to generate profits but the airlines have made it so that we are blaming overweight people for discomfort that is caused by them making us into sardines in a big tin tube.

On a flight returning from Mexico, there was a mid twenties gentleman in nice white shorts who must have been hit by a spell of Montezuma's Revenge and made a run for the toilet only to find it occupied and he couldn't hold it together any longer and had an explosion which started to run down the sides of his shorts in plain view of passengers. Poor guy.
