visa verification for online purchases

Jesus, I bet there is a million people that have the same issues as me. I swear I am about to give up with online purchases. Anytime I use my visa, I keep getting the same screen by 'verified by visa' asking me 5 questions. No matter how correct I answer them. It always says

"Verified by Visa Activation Suspended
Verified by Visa protects your card against unauthorized use online at no additional cost .

The card you are using for this purchase was previously suspended from Verified by Visa enrollment.

To provide the highest level of security, this card can not be used to complete this purchase. You will be automatically redirected to the online store so that you may enter another form of payment. Click 'Continue' to proceed now."

Then I always have to waste time on the phone getting it reset, The last time I asked to remove it, I guess they didnt listen. I guess its protecting my card from fraud and ME.

I wouldnt mind so much if the fucking thing worked properly. I think its a Bank of America/Visa thing only, but I could be wrong.

The MasterCard one is equally annoying.

However, neither of those annoyances compare to some of the credit card companies who block online transactions. Particularly those overseas. So you can't clear shit even though GB!

I ran into this numerous times buying scripts, freelance sites, among other things. Not just with the credit cards, but PayPal as well.

Fucking annoying.

I get this all the time on my company Visa because the date of birth they have on file never matches. Visa archives dob's for companies differently than personal cards so I keep failing authentication. Pisses me off so much, I pretty much have to call visa in advance to tell them I want to buy from Dell so they'll let the Verified by Visa slide on my purchase. My personal card always goes thru though.

This is one of the reasons we never implemented VBV with NETbilling. Too many abandoned orders.
