WWIII has started - Mexican troops invade the US!

Mexico invaded the US via Arizona today! And was stopped cold by the US Border Patrol!

PHOENIX (Reuters) ? U.S. border police arrested seven Mexican soldiers after they accidentally strayed over the international boundary into Arizona, authorities said.

The U.S. Border Patrol said agents encountered the troops in a Humvee a short distance north of the border near Yuma, in far west Arizona, early on Friday.

"The Border Patrol agents on scene established a dialogue with the subjects, who identified themselves as members of the Mexican military," the Border Patrol said in a news release.

"The ... agents informed them of their presence within the United States. Upon notification, the subjects were peaceably taken into custody," it added.

The soldiers, who were assigned to the 23rd Regiment Motorized Cavalry of the Mexican Army, said they had become disoriented while on patrol and had accidentally crossed the international boundary, the Border Patrol said.

After relieving them of their arms, agents took the soldiers to the San Luis, Arizona, port of entry where they were processed and repatriated to Mexico, along with their weapons and vehicle.

The incursion was the second by Mexican troops in recent months.

In August, a group of four Mexican soldiers briefly held a U.S. Border Patrol agent at gunpoint in a remote stretch of the Arizona desert after they mistakenly strayed north across the border.

It's kind of funny how if that happens between friendly countries, no problem... enemy countries, major war.

How do "soldiers" get arrested by border patrol.

Isn't that about the same as the CIA getting arrested by Mall security guards?

haha I get what ur trying to say... however... the minute they stepped in US territory they were under US jurisdiction... and they are the same as any other immigrant who tries to cross the border .... the only shocking thing would have been if these soldiers would have turned violent and even under such conditions they would have been caught by the border patrol.... now something like that is truly newsworthy...

The Mexican army has been the only one that has really invaded partially and attacked the US inside its continental territory (not counting Pearl Harbor), during the mexican revolution at the dawn of the 20th century Pancho Villa went into New Mexico chasing some "gringos" (as Americans are now called in Latin America), actually the word "gringo" comes from the shouting that Villa's "revolucionarios" were doing to the americans who used to wear green color uniforms in that time (Green-Goo, Green-Goo!!)... For those that are ready to say that the Alamo (San Antonio) was the first incident, actually in that time Texas was in dispute as it belonged to Mexico... When Katrina hurricane hit Lousiana some years ago the Mexican Army went back to the Alamo but this time with the peaceful mission of helping feedeing the homeless... Enough for History today ;-)
