Is your local mall on the list?
Looks like a mall operator is about to BK (locations here http://www.ggp.com/Properties/MallDirectory.aspx) and sell some properties to raise capital...
"You can keep a mall open with 60-70% [store] occupancy," Friedman said. "But if it falls to below 40%, then the weakest malls could be forced to close. We are in a real retail tsunami right now" I went today to get some holiday shopping done today and looks like foot traffic is down 50-75% from same time last year...went to dinner at a commercial chain and there were 2 servers in the entire place (maybe 40+ tables) and one other couple eating at 6PM At least service was good
