On CNN blog today: Bush 'the worst president we've ever had'

I just read this on CNN Bush 'the worst president we've ever had'.
Seems that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid doesn't like Bush to much, then again who does
The link on CNN for the story is http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/

Looks like no one is giving him a break until the very last day in office.
One thing is for sure once he leaves office, he will not get invitations to give a seminar as Clinton received after leaving office.
In my opinion using a famous president's quote "let me be perfectly clear" Bush is an asshole, a looser and he will forever be labeled the worst president that ever held the office of the president of the United States. Bush is an embarrassment to the White House as well as the United States.

People used to say the exact same shit about Nixon, who had similar approval numbers as Bush. Yet when he died recently, he was remembered fondly.

It's too early to say exactly how history will remember Dubya.

It's a hard time to be in his shoes, but hey... Regan wasn't very liked at some time yet he's remembered as one of the greats.

We don't know what information he had while taking the decisions.

Nixon didn't start 2 wars that look like losses, or let people float around in
flood water for a week, or give back tax money that was surplus to only
ass-jack us right back into debt, didn't think Africa was only a country,
didn't fuck up ties with China(that Nixon built).

Nixon was busted for an illegal wire tap....and that was it.

Bush opened a policy of warrantless wire taps and got away with it.

No comparision.

But the real question is will Obama change any of that? His voting record says no.

It's okay that you don't understand what I'm saying. You don't have to prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt.

You're comparing how _YOU_ feel _NOW_ verus how _YOU_ feel about _THEN_ and don't see a problem there at all?

Here, I'll give you a little clue. There were people just as angry about Nixon then as you are about Bush now. Everyone figured he'd go down as the "worst president ever!". That softened over time.

You have no idea what will come in the next 50 years, and you will never write the history books which means your opinion now is completely unrelated to how future generations will see things. Are you still with me or do you need me to slow down?

What if three years from now, god forbid, NY city is wiped out in a nuclear terrorist attack and the economy has continued in a downward spiral. Obama is sweapt out of office and Republicans back in after one term. You think Bush is still going to be viewed as the worst president ever by those looking back?

Seriously man, get your head around some of this stuff, you'll be a better person for it.

Actually I think Regan was well liked up to the point of the Iran afairs.
In regards to Nixon I think he was great but fucked up due to his insecurities of lossing the election.
Bush just fucked everything up from day one until now.
If you noticed he has taken a step back and you don't see much of him anymore.

Run a query in a database such as

SELECT * from uspresidents
WHERE president='idiot' and 'worst president ever'

Results will be "GW Bush"

all bush did was steal 10 trillion or so and funnel it to his friends companies

you can sugar coat it and say it was other people...but lets be real

its not the first time his family has been accused of stealing huge amounts of money from people...the last time alberto gonzalez let them off the hook...they rewarded him by making him attorney general...and then making him do shit that got him shit canned..lol

You sound like one of those southern folks who believe everything the government feeds them. You need to learn to think independently and not to be a poppet for the Bush propaganda. What you are saying is basically the same thing that the Bush administration has been saying for the last eight years.
They have been in power and held on to power by scarring people with their WHAT IF THAT and WHAT IF THIS.
Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee wake up and think independently not what the Bush administration has been feeding you which is a crock of shit.

What you don't understand is that I more or less agree with you that Bush has been a total fuck up. I'm just not so full of myself as to think I know how history will be written.

It's ignorant to think that George Bush is the root of all the World's problems. How you can not include Congress and well basically the whole US political system is just amazing to me.

People actually think King George decrees it so and it is so? You don't find that a little ignorant?

Well, I guess that's why I graduated from designing and managing business systems that handle hundreds of millions of dollars each year to owning my own company and basically not needing to work where as you write scripts for pennies. Big picture thinking, try it sometime, champ.

I'm not even American and you have no clue what you're talking about.

You're the one that figures you know how history will be written and running off with wild assumptions about where I'm from.

I'm done with you guys, you can argue amonst yourselves about how righteous you all are.

He's not, because that what the American want. People who voted for him in 2000 and then amazingly again in 2004 deserve that title of an asshole and looser. They could have choose change, but instead choose a looser.

Luckily for Bush I'm pretty sure his family and associates know the people who write the history books.

Reagan isn't remembered as a great by anyone who's ever taken a freshman level Poli Sci class ;)

He's smoke and mirrors.

Seriously man, get your head around some of this stuff, you'll be a better person for it.
I wasn't around during the time of Nixon... but, Nixon's dislike by the American people was a completely different apple. He was the first president, ever, to have to resign. He was the first president, ever, to "break the hearts" of the American people. Previous to him, being a president had some moral level to it that hadn't been tarnished in a news-type eye.. EVER... The worst president previous to him would've been Hoover (who just had bad luck and bad friends and was about as stupid as Bush, but didn't start a war).... and Grant....

When you ask political scholars who the worst presidents were... Grant, Hoover, Reagan will be the top three answers. And I'm not talking political pundits. I'm talking the supposed to be neutral scholars.. who take a look at the Constitution and the Federalist papers and the state of foreign affairs and economy to compare successfulness...

Regardless of what happens in the future with more or less attacks.. Bush will be added to that list. Bush took the general disappointment that we felt for a man like Nixon... the general heartbreak... and he warped that disapproval and hatred into a wide eyed term of blatant greed and "good ol' boying" on a level we've never, ever seen.

He surrounded himself by people who could be 1000s of times worse than the "friends" that Hoover and Grant let run the whitehouse. Hoover and Grant's people were just raucous assholes. Childish frat boys. There was no raping of the middle east. There was no oil interest. There was no knowledge of all these "conspiracy" "tin foil hat" shit going on to fuel the hate.

The hate for Bush is a whole different brand than any other hate felt for any other president... and that is both by his blatant choices.. and by the media making the people aware of his choices.

Regan is only remembered as a great by the hardcore right wingers whom worship him like he's the second coming. The guy was the end of true conservatism and rushed in a new era of big spending that had never been seen before. He was one of the worst things to happen to the Republican party and this country.. Then they have the gull to act as if he single handedly made the USSR collapse, which is laughable at best.

The last 4 Republican presidents have been some of the worst presidents this nation has ever had. It's like every time you think they can't come up with one that was worst than the last but undoubtedly they do.

Nixon was busted for an illegal wire tap....and that was it.

Bush opened a policy of warrantless wire taps and got away with it.

No comparision.
Were you even alive when Nixon was president?

The least I do know, is that GWB was the most unprepared president ever. The guy thought it'd be a cakewalk for a few years and then cruise along to a book tour like Bill Clinton.

Honest mistake when I type fast. I am sure it has happened to you as well in the past.
There is one thing that is different, spelling errors happen and it is something that doesn't happen every day but you being a cocksucker doesn't change. That you will be forever.

Bush pretty much bet his legacy on Iraq. If Iraq is able to maintain its democratic government and they can put together a military and police force that helps keep the peace and a democratic Iraq helps lead other middle eastern countries towards democracy as Bush has said it will, then he will be remembered as the guy who went against the grain and got the ball rolling and any other mistakes he has made will be put on the back burner and conveniently forgotten or overlooked.

More likely is that we will leave Iraq and eventually the government will be overthrown, there will be a civil war and things will go back to how they were before we invaded only with someone new in power and the middle east will continue to be the cluster fuck that it always has been then he will be remembers as the guy who spent billions to achieve nothing and got us involved in a war we couldn't win while driving the economy into the crapper.

It is kind of like sports. If you win everyone forgets the drama. When you lose your dirty laundry gets aired out for all to see.

I hope you don't need experimental drugs.

Nixon on healthcare:

John D. Ehrlichman: ?On the ? on the health business ??

President Nixon: ?Yeah.?

Ehrlichman: ?? we have now narrowed down the vice president?s problems on this thing to one issue and that is whether we should include these health maintenance organizations like Edgar Kaiser?s Permanente thing. The vice president just cannot see it. We tried 15 ways from Friday to explain it to him and then help him to understand it. He finally says, ?Well, I don?t think they?ll work, but if the President thinks it?s a good idea, I?ll support him a hundred percent.??

President Nixon: ?Well, what?s ? what?s the judgment??

Ehrlichman: ?Well, everybody else?s judgment very strongly is that we go with it.?

President Nixon: ?All right.?

Ehrlichman: ?And, uh, uh, he?s the one holdout that we have in the whole office.?

President Nixon: ?Say that I ? I ? I?d tell him I have doubts about it, but I think that it?s, uh, now let me ask you, now you give me your judgment. You know I?m not to keen on any of these damn medical programs.?

Ehrlichman: ?This, uh, let me, let me tell you how I am ??

President Nixon: [Unclear.]

Ehrlichman: ?This ? this is a ??

President Nixon: ?I don?t [unclear] ??

Ehrlichman: ?? private enterprise one.?

President Nixon: ?Well, that appeals to me.?

Ehrlichman: ?Edgar Kaiser is running his Permanente deal for profit. And the reason that he can ? the reason he can do it ? I had Edgar Kaiser come in ? talk to me about this and I went into it in some depth. All the incentives are toward less medical care, because ??

President Nixon: [Unclear.]

Ehrlichman: ?? the less care they give them, the more money they make.?

President Nixon: ?Fine.? [Unclear.]

Ehrlichman: [Unclear] ?? and the incentives run the right way.?

President Nixon: ?Not bad.?

25% percent of people will still vote for Bush.

Well no matter what interests elected him, he sure was the least QUALIFIED president in the history, and probably one of the least qualified presidents ever on a worldwide level.

Seriously, the mayor of the smallest ass Redneckville from Arkansas probably is a better speaker and has more clue about what's going on in the bushes around his village.

Well, and maybe that's why he was chosen to run and to win, someone needed a scapegoat and a harmless puppet to do what "needs to be done" and to take all the shit from public.

I actually don't think George Jr. is a bad person, he's lame, he failed, he signed things he shouldn't sign, but he just did the same thing he was doing his whole life of a prominent son - jobs that you don't get by applying from the street and that he was never qualified for - let's show a bit of understanding and solidarity.

It's all over now, George is heading towards a peaceful retirement on his ranch.

Needless to say Warchild is actually one of the few REAL webmasters posting here for fun and capable of both - trolling and making sense.

Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee wake up and think independently not what the Bush administration has been feeding you which is a crock of shit.
You might want to concern yourself with the fact that you do not write at a high school level rather than opining on how Bush will be remembered by history. Don't you find it somewhat limiting to be functionally illiterate in such a competitive world? There are likely remedial classes that can assist you with this.
