And thanks... I DO care. I'm doing it more for his family than anything. I can't even imagine having to go through something like this as his mother or other family member and finding out that no one did anything but tell him the world would be better off without him and that he should go ahead and end his life. I couldn't live with myself if I didn't take 5 minutes out of my day to attempt to save a family of the most unimaginable magnitude of pain for a lifetime to come.

Anyways, the Las Vegas police have been called. They are taking it seriously, they have his blogs and vid, and they are going to try and track him down.

It gets more interesting. They called back and said that there was nothing they could do since there is no proof that he is in Vegas.

So the hosting company, lunarpages.com, is the only place that would have his city so that proper authorities could be called.

I've been going back and forth on facebook with an employee there. I should post the convo cuz it's actually pretty disturbing but it's starting to look up. I'm still going round and round with her. I think she's finally seeing the light though. This world is so weird, I swear.

My guess is that if they don't act in time and he completes this, the family can sue the living shit out of them... I would think. We shall see.

Policies, procedures, and laws are so fucked. It's insane...

Attempted suicide and/or the threat thereof can be grounds for involuntary psychological evaluation.

Something about the way that this is being done does not have a genuine ring to it. This is not to say that all efforts to stop him are not appreciated, but it is advisable at times to be very careful of leading an unstable person into a self-fulfilling situation.

In a former career, I've handled one-on-one suicide attempts. Every serious situation had a certain air of privacy about them and the most critical ones did not alert anyone at all.

This guy appears to be an attention hog and may even go as far as cutting himself or harming himself on a superficial level if he doesn't see enough of a reaction. That is, IF he is genuine.

Worse case scenario is that if he is serious, he will leave more clues so that people can stop him. Persons like him are psychological leeches, they feed off of the need for others to help. They get their fix by manipulation and deception, knowing that there are persons who genuinely will offer their emotions. Once the trap is set, they reel their unsuspecting victims in with little more than innuendo and a bit of imagination.

My advice: Don't be a sucker. Let the police do their jobs.

In his writings and in his vids he doesnt try to reach out for any help at all nor is he all "doom and gloom". This site has very few visitors. Its only starting to get out there all of a sudden. He makes it very clear that this is a storage place for his family so they understand why he "did it". He intends on emailing them right before he does it. The fact that he isn't reaching out for help at all makes me know for a fact that he has made up his mind. He's taking the last paycheck he has and drinking his ass off.

With that being said, he JUST posted a bit ago saying he's been drunk for over 60 hours in Vegas and that's why he didn't do his normal daily posting. He filmed himself across the street from the treasure island. He goes on about how all the windows are barred and it's impossible to jump anywhere. He's scoping the scene totally.

So I just got off the phone with the Vegas police and they already had all the info but now they took his description of what he's wearing today, etc and they are out looking for him. Now there is proof that he is indeed in Vegas and approximately where he might be staying. I gave them the name of the host of his site and they said they would get on it and find out his name and such so they can find out exactly where he's staying. They are looking for him as we speak.

Hopefully, he will be taken into custody and put in a hospital while his family is contacted. This might not stop him from the inevitable, but it might stop him from his current plan. I feel very good about this and I thank the guy who posted this thread. You may have saved a life, dude. Pat yourself on the back! Hopefully, we won't see any updates on his site from this point forward. That will show that he was found. Hopefully, at a later date, he will post and tell about how he involuntarily got the help he needed and is taking a new road. I hope, I hope.

We shall see! At least progress was made tonight.

I do have a grip. When someone has an outright plan and voices it, you're SUPPOSED TO call authorities. That's just what you're supposed to do.... not harass the dude and urge him to do it. That's just stupid.

You guys watch too many movies. If you really knew anything about the subject, you'd know that this dude is a classic case of someone who needs immediate help because he has a solid plan laid out to do it. His farewell funtime is a very very common thing that can occur right beforehand. That's a fact.

Anyways, to me it was worth a phone call. It's standard procedure. I refuse to attack and harrass a guy who is ill like that like everyone else is doing.

He still hasn't logged into his youtube since his site's been down. But I got this email on my site from a guy who has been insistant that this is a hoax. I think he's the one who got the site and blog shut down. Notice the urls of the guy "Dean" though. It is NOT the same guy. Not even close. I'd love to know if he got nabbed yet or if they thought to get his info from his site host at least. I would think this would be worth that effort at this point. Taking his site down was not the answer in my opinion. Surfers did that, not police.

Either way... if it's a hoax or a joke, he seriously needs help and I hope he gets nabbed. Here's what he sent me:

Any standard suicide prevention sites or tutorials will tell you straight up, if someone threatens it or has a concrete plan to kill themselves, you report it. Period. I don't see the big deal.

I have no idea why you would think rape is the same thing. That doesn't make sense to me.

It was posted, I read it as many others did, and did what was right. I'm not losing sleep over it or "upset". They were only informed of what was out there. They made the determination of what to do. That's what they do... "police"

I understand your point, I think.

You seem to be claiming beyond a shadow of a doubt that it's fake and fantasy. I'm not because I personally know that this sort of thing can be very real and it appeared real enough to me to take two minutes to hand it over. They will do whatever it is they do.

I only know that if it were my family member, I'd hope someone would take 2 minutes out of their day to report it. Because if it DID happen, and I found out hundreds of people knew it and only laughed, I would be absolutely crushed even more. I just have a different perspective than you.

As far as rape fantasy sites, I know nothing about that. But if someone posted on gfy a guy writing a blog every day about how he plans to rape someone, I'd turn that in too if it might help prevent it.

But I got this email on my site from a guy who has been insistant that this is a hoax. I think he's the one who got the site and blog shut down. Notice the urls of the guy "Dean" though. It is NOT the same guy. Not even close. I'd love to know if he got nabbed yet or if they thought to get his info from his site host at least. I would think this would be worth that effort at this point. Taking his site down was not the answer in my opinion. Surfers did that, not police. Either way... if it's a hoax or a joke, he seriously needs help and I hope he gets nabbed. Here's what he sent me: "Hi Niccole, Found your site through Google. I want you to know that the 30daystodeath blog is fake. It?s a prank by a Belgium group called ?IPower? to raise awareness about suicide prevention. The author of the blog goes by the name ?Dean.? Here he is on his youtube channel: https://youtube.com/watch?v=sSVCzaeF1a4 Here is their previous ?suicide prank? from last year: http://tania.movielol.org Not sure what to think about all of this - it?s important to raise awareness, but this is quite an awful thing that they are doing because it makes so many people upset. I'll ask the lady who called originally because she gave the cops her number and they have called her back twice. The cops do have his picture from his vids and have him labeled a suicide alert if they run across him but I don't think they're making any effort to actually find him.

In ways...it was similiar to the original radio broadcast of Orson Welles' War of The Worlds (think about it).
