After 3-4 years spent in front of Philips TFT monitor, I've decided to buy a new one.
So I've picked up new Samsung T220. I've checked it at the store it has Samsung panel and had zero dead pixels (I've tested it myself in the store b4 buying).

After only two days I got first bad pixel (little red dot), I've called the Samsung service and they told me the monitor is "officially dead" if has more than 1 pixel per million (1ppm), so in my case that's over 5 pixels (according to their calculations).

I'm so pissed off that I'm thinking of throwing this shit, and get back to my old Philips (that after 3-4 years of heavy duty (ab)use by me still has no dead pixels).

Dead pixels are so annoying. I had to switch out a Compaq laptop 3 times about 5 years ago because of dead pixels.

I have a HP (compaq) laptop for about 3 years now and have no dead pixels...
so this all shit is all new (and annoying to me)...
