Ebay Hates Me :(

I have an item listed on ebay and there are a few days left on my auction however I just sold the item on Craig's List. How do I remove the item from ebay. I have searched around and cannot work it out. I find Ebay interface very un user friendly.

The item is a a car tire listed under ebay motors.

If you can't close the auction.. You likely can't..

You are going to be stuck paying the fees.. You better hope nobody bids on it cause yer going to be stuck paying the commission..

You also broke the #1 rule of Ebay selling.. Don't post your item on other sites while it's up for sale on Ebay..

I'd make an e-bay account.. Bid on it.. And then don't pay it.. and then file a claim against your fake e-bay account.. don't respond to the claim with your fake ebay account.. You will win the Non-Payment claim..

and maybe e-bay will refund the fees, etc..

(I dunno if this trick still works)

I am not worried about paying the listing fee. I will just raise the reserve that way noone will bid that high.

Ebay sucks, tried to sell my car on it and sold it twice but neither person came through with the funds.

Have had much better luck with Craigs list for small items.

eBay sucks.... left them a long time ago. I love how people could blackmail you using the feedback system... that was always awesome. "Rule #7 - You need to leave feedback first... we leave neg feedback if you leave neg feedback..."

Never going back...

You can close the auction as long as it is not in the last 24 hours of running. Use the help and search for 'ending auction early'

log into your my ebay, view your current listings, and on the right side of the listing should be a dropdown where you can cancel.

Easy: http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?EndingMyAuction

If there are bids on the item just cancel all the bids, reason 'item no longer for sale'

To end your listing early:

1. Type your item number into the End My Listing Early form. (The item number is shown on your listing, confirmation email, and My eBay page.)
2. If there are bids on your item, select either ?Cancel bids and end listing early? or ?Sell item to high bidder.? If your item has no bids, you can skip this step.
3. Select the reason you're ending your listing early.
4. Your listing will end and will no longer be active on eBay. Bidders who did not win the listing receive an email that their bid was canceled and that the listing ended early.
