Brother borrowed moms Grand Am one night to run by a friends house. Dead cold winter, he left the car running while he ran inside for under 5 minutes. Some drunk stole the car and totalled it on the side of the highway. Cops tracked his footprints in the snow directly to ANOTHER BAR where our hero had resumed pickling his innards.

My dad had a firebird when I was growing up which I loved driving around with him in. He also had a Pontiac 6000 which was the car I drove around when I got my license. I now have a 2002 Grand Am that I actually love, it has some balls to it.

I've had a few Pontiacs.
I had a 1967 Firebird in show room condition back in the late 80's but had to sell it due to financial reasons. I wish I had that car now - it was beautiful - in fact it looked almost identical to this car here... http://www.frameupclassics.com/1967%...bird%20web.jpg I had a 1969 Firebird with the big 400 ci. motor in it. THAT was a serious muscle car and I was like 20 or 21 when I had it. I almost killed myself in. Hit a power pole doing about 70 mph. How I survived I still don't know. Had a 70 Lemans - that crappy Forest Green color with the light green vinyl roof. God awful ugly car. It was the parents car that got handed down to me when I started driving. Also had a 73 Lemans - Dark brown sled of a car... All of them we're great cars though...not much trouble at all. -- Bill

Woah Baby.
I've owned 10 (coutem, 10!) Pontiac Firebirds. Some basic 'birds, some Formula's, some Trans Am's, all new starting in 1987, and one of the last ones built in 2002. Now chevy has built new Camaro's and they kick!

the turbo Solstice would be the one to get cheap now, and I guess you'd be able to fix it with Saturn parts?
Saturn should realy go to though |

Lost a dear friend from college many years back. He went off the road in a Lemans. Had been drinking and drove nuts sober... He'd make ya find Jesus just to ride shot-gun.
Anyway it was quick, broke his neck. |

I drove a Solstice.
The motor sounded beefy but the car feels underpowered. The Solsticeseseses are nice cars but they don't like my 6'3" body. I couldn't straighten out my legs enough and the top of my head was touching the roof of the car. So in the end its only good for short-asses.

I have been filming the last few days so I am just getting to this thread. The first car I owned was a 1977 Pontiac Firebird. And the vehicle before the Jeep I drive now was a '96 Ram Air T/A (WS6) loaded with all the options. I dove that for over ten years and loved it until it progressively fell apart on me from about 90K-110k miles.
