There is quite a few shady things you can do with an flv file that's almost untraceable.

Last video is either missing the water mark or is just not on the firs frame, and looks different than the other three.

Pushing the producers names is fine but I would make that section a little smaller. NOT everyone is soooo into porn that they know the names of the producers etc.

If you do the flv way, I would also offer the same basic thing for the people that DONT LIKE flv.

Imho the design is horrible, the links to the site hardly stand out which will result in low ctr....

the setup with the streaming vids is nice though, if the template would be better than I'd list it.

Fair enough... we'll try to brighten things up a bit in the future. Truthfully though, these are getting nice conversions.

I agree with mefo there. Text should stand out a bit more for sure. The whole area of text at the top right corner should be linked to your tour. Same with the bottom left.

There was just a discussion about this last night. They may look pretty, but they are actually pretty bad. The only actual text on the entire page is 'download clip'. That's such a colossal waste IMHO.

The reality is that they are better than 90% of the galleries I have seen lately, but that's more of a statement about other galleries than this one.

flv galleries dont crop well in smartthumbs.. hide some code where you have 0px thumbs linking to a full size thumb you used in the 4 flvs

Speaking solely as an affiliate...

there is nothing on that gallery that tempts me to click through. I prefer a sales text approach versus design stuff that looks like it is there as a placeholder. eg, the producer section in the bottom right hand corner. No disrespect intended, but I think selling the producers vs selling the content is a poor choice.

Great feedback in there, that I do appreciate.

Personally, I feel that the design of the template is above averge on most levels ie.. design work, click through potential, sales potential, etc..

There's no way to please everyone, but I'd still like to cover as many bases as I can to maximize everyone's bottom line.

"Tour" says more to a webmaster than to a surfer... a surfer is interested in "more videos", "more pictures", "full length videos" etc. Not "Tour"

design wise: it looks OK, although I'd go with either clearer or darker mood, not "in the middle" as it is. And I'd make the selling points bigger and more noticeable (ie blinking or with brighter colors). The color palette as a whole looks too dull, I'd go your own site's way

video wise: looks great to me, but as some people said, not sure if TGP scripts will like it, mainly because you can cheat with flv. Plus, some people can't play MP4 and they need a codec. But I think your setup will be the standard in a short time, as a matter of fact it should be the standard now

I never understand why everyone is such a design reviewer when you ask opinions on sites or galleries when the design is obviously professionally made and clean.

There are only a small percentage real webmasters that even posted in this thread... most of you couldn't even build a site with traffic.

I think the technology behind the gallery is nice but the way it was implemented is stupid from a gallery standpoint. This gallery won't work for any MGP script on the planet because the thumbs are placed via javascript. All scripts work very similarly, they have to parse the actual html that is in the page and cannot run javascript.... so as far as this gallery is concerned there are no thumbs.

Any good web developer knows how to make his/her sites degradable. This gallery is useless to anyone who is has javascript disabled. The tour url wouldn't even work. So... the verdict is that this gallery is garbage for affiliates... I hope you didn't spend any real money having it developed because you wasted every cent you spent. It's nice and fancy... but was created by someone who doesn't know anything about adult sites.

I am not sure why a gallery has to be so freaking fancy. You can embed the flash player without scripting. It looks like you are trying to create a hybrid gallery that can be listed by MGPs and Tubes... that is cool. I appreciate the effort. What you SHOULD do is put the traditional mgp links (thumb linking to the wmv) in the gallery and then comment out that html... this way the mgp script can still parse the thumb (they check the links to see if they are linking a movie clip with an acceptable extension and then parse out the thumb that is linking the clip).

Overall I'd say the design looks good - nice graphic layout...although I'd trash that little purple silhouette of the chick next to "Studio HD" text (a bit cheesy and wayyyy overused in the industry).

The grey, pink 'n purple color scheme goes well together.

If anything....

more contrast with your grays in the main portion of the page, maybe exchange the dark gray in the main content area with the black in the background to punch up the whites and magenta or what ever color you choose. Instead of outer glow on "from the biggest producers" etc in photoshop.. select the text layer, menu.. select, load selection, new selection, make a new layer, then on that layer add a 3 pixel stroke or so (oustide) in any contrasting color and then move that layer to below the text layer and contrast it that way,

"Studio HD" should be where "take the tour" is at the top and and at the bottom. That is the brand and should be fore-front

"Enter here" below the 3.99 price point should be something different and in addition "3 day unlimited pass only 3.99 for a limited time" doesn't work for me. I would take out the "for a limited time" part, or the unlimited pass part.. but I'm not sure which would be better.

I am not sure what the "W4B" thing means in the first 3 videos.

I am not sure what flash player you are using but with ours we are able to put in place, a image place holder as such

As you see, the initial image, is a place holder and once you click on it, the flv plays and then the FLV video plays.
