If you use the card at a bar or restaurant then while the transaction is Pending 20% is added to make room for a tip.
When the transaction settles the right amount should show. From: https://www.epassporte.com/secure/js...URVISAELECTRON paid for a meal at a restaurant with my Visa Card. The authorization on my Account for my meal purchase is different than the amount I spent. Why is this? When you purchase a meal at a restaurant with your ePassporte Visa Card, your transaction is authorized for the amount of the meal plus an extra amount (to allow for a potential gratuity). These authorizations are removed from your Account when the Merchant settles the actual amount spent at the restaurant, usually in 7 to 10 days.

The transaction is Pending until the Merchant settles the transaction which is usually 1-3 business days. The money is still in your account but is "reserved" for that specific merchant. When the money is sent to the Merchant the actual amount is charged to your account.
