WP permalinks don't work, anybody have experience or some pointers?
I'm a bit lost here.
I have tried to get the permalinks working in Wordpress, created Mod rewrite rules in the .htaccess file but still it doesn't work, it causes a "page not found" message". Anyone have some experience with this? I tried everything and also Googled and tried some things but it won't work. Thx in advance

What version of WP are you using? I know a recent version was putting the htaccess file in the cgi-bin. Just need to move it.

when this happens i just delete the htaccess and go back to permalink settings and let WP rewrite it
