maybe once the chinese start buying porn but until then, not important at all. Even when they do having the .cn is really no advantage. If they visit a site in english, chances of them typing it in with a .cn extention would be pretty rare. When the chinese do start buying porn I'd say .cn or .com, it doesn't matter but what would matter is having the domains in IDN so they can type it in in their own language. And of course having the site in their own language as well.
