The hotel has a new name, new owner, and new casino attached, along with some renovations, but yes it'll be the same place

Oh, in related news, we just finished building you guys a new highway that is now open and cuts the driving time from San Jose to Jaco (where the Bash takes place) from about 2+ hours, to 45 minutes

(OK, we didn't build it...but it is finally finished!)

It's officially on - the site still needs some areas updated then registration will be open, likely later this week.

The hotel is signed though and dates are confirmed March 11th to 14th

It's gonna be a lot of fun! I haven't had a vacation in all of 2009. Been busting my ass to keep sideways financially. I'm going to take advantage of this as a working vacation.

The new highway is nowhere near 45 minutes... It does avoid the whole mountain pass though, and drops you in right at the croc bridge which is pretty cool

You picked the wrong day to drive it - it was new, it was a weekend, last weekend with kids off school and before voting next weekend, a tico payday weekend, etc...

On a Thursday morning it should be quick. It may be longer coming back Sunday though.
