@ barelist

logo bad,
the ajax effect to look like a dock is overkill,
the top menu should be css or html with text links

Babe of the day title should be text, strong and lead to an archive of babes of the day.

below that on your niche galleries instead of stamping the images i would use an empty div laying over the image and then a text with the a link and a title tag

I would increase the twitter and other components on the side to square icons that match the feel of the top, then integrate them into more pages

Newest picture sets and side menus i would use ajax tabs on your left side so that surfers could swap between newest links, menu and other items, give them a cams link and other options.

Never have two side scrollers on a page just do one and let it get the attention then maximize its value.

@ the very top i would use an image or ad server to manage the top thumbs and rotate based on click thrus running with 5 to 6 images per thumb spot then weighting and adjusting as the day went on to get the most thru put on your site.

Let me know if you want any more thoughts.

how/where does a new, small ultra micro-niche site get starter traffic in 2010? what about budget and where to allocate the dollars, also, the best ways to *test* that traffic?

thx!

ultra niche you would have to go to traffic brokers, or sites directly search your market know the top results then approach the owner if they send you to a broker talk to them.

For budget i would base my budget on my ability to throw money away. So if i was willing to spend 1k a month thats what i would spend. I would allocate the dollars across sites though and watch and monitor the traffic in, you would need a good server log software as well as analytics and maybe use real time stats like histats.com if your not great at reading log files.

the best ways to test traffic are to do 7 day buys from a site, then send it to your best converting page so far, you then analyze as the hours go buy what the traffic and conversion behaviour is, each hour you try one change see the affect over the previous hour and then adapt your tour, if your really smart you would break your site down into php elements and analyze the exposure to clicks thru of each element then further evaluate the flow of traffic to the join process.

All the menu concerns are still the same on this page.

Categories is ok, next to the text link instead of doing an onmouseover box that is browser variable, do a stock thumb with a size option (i.e. a drop down above the thumb column that says small medium or large, that then changes the pre done and sized thumb)

After the text for the gallery i would do icons instead of form elements and make them standards so you dont have to explain what those links are + - and x dont mean anything to me when i first see the page.

Biography text is needless a different size why not keep it the same size and bold your titles.

Suggested models at the bottom is too far down, i would put it vertically on the side so that as they scroll the galleries for this girl, they can also see the girls who may match that type.

If you have Tshirt shots make a simple lightbox gallery at the top showing it off, it adds to your credibility and enhances the bookmarks love of your site, (check out freeones ;))

another- how does a micro-niche site handle any sort of competition? for instance, sites that might have a bit of somewhat similar content here or there? i would like to try a *reverse affiliate* deal where i not only acknowledge those sites, but "review" them from my micro-niche angle, pointing highly targeted traffic to those exact sets.

would this work? or is it overkill for such a paysite? i see it as added value that in a way addresses a large part of competition, both free sites and similar sites.

thx!

Tracking would depend on what way i was doing it, maybe i would use a program like atx or tradepulse or google analytics if i didnt need up to the second stats. Histats.com is free and really good too, for traffic stats.

I would do exactly what you are discussing if you all have exclusive content most likely the surfers would join all your sites to see it, especially micro niche, that way you can push traffic back and forth and probably make a good amount of money. I would suggest also working out one click deals in your members area to these sites if possible, and emailing members as they cancel and expire an affiliate offer to similar but different sites.

Hi Michael, long time dont see...

Got a question for you guys. What is Twistys specifically doing about copyright infringement (ie full movies on tubes, forums, etc)?

i know the 17 other sites that contain similar content and many of the top MGP/TGPs but are you talking about approaching program owners or sites?

where do galleries and such fit? what are the top things to change? this is where i really get overwhelmed. even down to sales text and such, that matrix is huge!

We have people hunting for them and DMCA as many as possible, if they dont respond to that we go after them to the full extent of local laws. In some cases that means law suits.

i would approach the site owners and affiliate programs about special deals, i dont know exactly what your selling so hard to say.

With a 1000 budget you would have to make smaller deals for smaller traffic and then react more quickly.

Galleries you need to learn to make as a marketing vessel, you would need to be able to use the page that is a gallery like its a story for why to join your site, and then learn to make that page convert people on it to people on your tour.

My suggestion learn how to make a good gallery first well laid out that converts people from on the gallery to on the tour, then learn to make a tour that converts that person from on the tour to on the join page, then learn to make join pages where you convert the person to a member. Each is a seperate item and process and you cannot learn them all at once.

ok, 1 more! hah!

what's a strategy for tubes 2010. i really see a way to convert some of that traffic to a ultra micro niche but i can only see it working if something like channels and buying keywords becomes available on tubes.

do you see these tools becoming available or can you say how to put together a target plan to capture a tiny bit of all that.

ok, i'll stop now! drinks on me heheheh!

thx again

You can buy keywords on any tube now, so do that. I would build scripts that work on current tubes then get something to the owner to make them as much as you can.

Are blue fantasies and the other sites going to start getting exclusive content?

Any more solo girl sites in the works?

no i doubt it most likely those sites will fade out unless their is a change in affiliate or surfer demand.

Solo girls none yet, i would love to get Kayden or Heather Vandeven or one of our top girls but mostly they have their own sites.

What's up with every site thinking my windows 7 ultimate 64 bit box is a cell phone when I run ie8?

Fixed it for Twistys, but some other of your sites still think I'm on a big iphone ;-)

Fixed it for Twistys, but some other of your sites still think I'm on a big iphone ;-)
ie8 masks the browser info in different format so its odd when redirects base on header info.

Thanks I prefer a chinese junk rig to the standard rigging, I sailed for ages on a 50 ft chinese junk rig steel yacht. Red sails out of Vancouver would go to the fireworks there each summer and just sit flat under the stars watching the fireworks go off.

Do it for free, as much as you can handle do as many gigs as possible do each and every type and ask the person how successful it was get conversion numbers sign NDA's just to see stats of tours so you can make them better. Test test test and do it all for free for 2 months, then once you are comfortable charge But when you do charge its always cash up front 50% minimum and a maximum number of revisions. Also get a questionnaire made and have the client fill it out in advance so if they change shit you have it in writing.
