Pretty much. Usually what the government says is only partially true. Understandably so, because if they were completely honest with a lot of things, people would either a) revolt or at the very least b) vote the fuckers out. However, that doesn't mean that reptiles secretly rule the universe or whatever the fuck those morons think.

And as we all know.. job security is a big priority.

Taking what the government says hook, line, and sinker(or anyone paid by the government to be an "expert") is much more naive than someone whose skepticism may've took 'em off the deep end, imho.

The quotes around 'conspiracy theorists' was done intentionally to refer to those people, whom in the face of facts and evidence to the contrary, stick to irrational beliefs about particular subjects. The point is this: to really be a critical thinker you have to be your own best auditor. If you can't audit the things you believe, if the things you believe fail even the most basic tests of logic.. then you should be interested in how it is you could believe such things.. and why. If the goal is to 'question everything', then question how it is one could arrive at these beliefs.

For example: What void does it fill to believe things that are obviously not true? There is no question, for example, the men walked on the moon (please.. no one even start the 'debate' or post 'evidence'.. I've been on teh interwebs before.. I've read it all). So why would someone want to so fervently believe that it was not true? What kind of trauma would you have to suffer, or what kind of mental state would a person have to be in to hold these beliefs? What social role does it play for people to even engage in "debate" over things that are not debatable.. where the side they choose doesn't even exist. Is it narcissism? anti-social personality disorder? just plain insanity? Is it an attempt to leverage asymmetrical information to assert social dominance? I don't know.. but i'm fascinated by it.

As someone else said you've bunched up things you want to believe isn't a conspiracy into a "theory." As far as the moon. I personally believe man has been there MANY times. I also believe that batteries we're found in Iraq that are 6500 years old. I also believe the pyramids were an ancient attempt at a form of power plants. I also believe that certain people didn't want those civilizations to progress. It's happened time and time again through history.. I have many other beliefs which have come from many years of MY OWN research which would GREATLY contradict most things you have ever been led to believe and I CAN support my findings with verifiable documented/historical evidence. If you believe that things haven't been hidden from the general public because certain people in certain places felt they didn't want you to know about those things for whatever reason (mostly power).. So be it.. I know differently.. Social dominance? You mean like religion and the squashing of anything with opposing views even when historical evidence PROVES them to be nothing but made up stories based on ancient myths.. The "believers" in those things are very much desribed in your OP.. So who's more crazy? Those 1700+ year old "story" believers or these others you describe?

You are pretty far out there...sport. I live in the same country as you and I am neither discontented or unhappy about the life I have had. I have fared quiet well financially and even though my health was sacrificed in service of the country...I would not change much in my life if I were to repeat it over. Why are you so discontented and disillusioned?

I wasn't conned into anything. I made choices...and I chose to follow a long line of my family being in the military. Unfortunately the family name ends when I die...so the long line ends with my death.

I of course helped to make money for others and glad to do so...as in doing so...I made plenty for myself...so I have no complaints about being a "slave".

I've answered it a million times. We can't continue to allow a small group of people dictate our lives.. Whether that be financially or physically. ALL of those who think they know better than eveyone else on how someone should live needs to GFY.. I'll live my life how I choose.. You live your life how you choose. You get out of me what I provide for you and I expect the same in return. Should I pay someone interest for something I can print off on my computer? No. I will not.. Especially when they can create unlimited amounts of money off of my money.. There has to be limits to their doings.. And since this all they have decreased the limits to 0 (as in they can create money with NO reserves) and increased the costs to you and I.. I say fuck them all.. Well...there is...or at the least was...at least two very small towns in California...one of which use a barter system as well as U.S. currency and another town that prints its own money which is used as barter...as well as U.S. currency. Both towns do so because of lack of jobs in the community. The people manage but for the most part are very poor. I don't view it as being practical outside of a very small community that is barely managing survival.
