![]() OK, there is so much bullshit out there about the proper use of keywords that I no longer know a keyword from a keyhole!
So what is the REAL DEAL on burying keywords into a website? Is it true that hidden keywords, like those which are the same color as the background will get you de-indexed by the search engines? What about meta tags? Do they work any more? I get a kick out of those sites which have a gazillion keywords in very tiny text down at the bottom of the page! I mean it is soooooooooooooo obvious and amateurish in apperance but does it work? Let's say I have a hundred or so keywords that I want on the site. In a nutshell, what is the best method to use those keywords to improve results? I mean, I don't care what the best method is as long as it works. Thanks in advance. Sally. |

Well, best approach is to build your huge list of keywords, then group them, and use these groups to build pages. So maybe from 1000 keywords you will be able to build some 50-100 pages.
Some pages of course will be more competitive and will have that main keyword in page, some pages will have very long tail ones and bunch of them on one page. For example:
These are big core keywords so you would make some 400-500 word pages for each of them. For smaller keywords you would combine them in same page:
and similar you can easily combine into one article. Hope this helps. |

"Competitors"? And we "compete" just how? Afraid someobdy gonna take your niche or get their fingers stuck in your pathetic little fuckin' cookie jar? Shit too! You're not that big or that important, I assure you. Let me tell you something, me Boyo; I don't know much about the effective use of keywords, not because I am stupid but because I have only started my research. When I finish my research, I will know what I need to know and much, much more and I will quite willingly share that information with others, Tell you something else, Boyo, I'm so fuckin' smart that I make smart people look like retards and you make yourself look stupid without any help. If you were one of a group of cruise ship passengers stranded in a lifeboat, you would be the one the other passengers would kill and eat because you would not help your imagined "competitors" to survive. You would be useful only for the liquid and protein that your body contains. Thanks to those of you who have kindly and freely replied to my questions! Sally. |

![]() Now how is this thread a "splog"? I'm legitemately seeking information and "sploging' no one. If you don't have anything of value to contribute to the thread, YOU are the one "splogging" and there's a lot of that shit goes on around here.
If all you're going to do is hijack the thread and make inane comments you should stay the Hell out of it! Thanks to those who have contributed. Sally. |

Exact keyword matching domains in com/net/org in conjunction with some of the on-page SEO that's been mentioned is where it's at to minimize the amount of off-page SEO needed for many of the terms out there. For some terms it's impossible to rank for them without linkbuilding, but for a lot of them, exact keyword matching domain + some content (doesn't have to be a LOT) + on-page SEO = rankings. I just sold an adult domain which ranked #2 for its term (18,100 search/mo term) with just a parked page. For the terms where linkbuilding etc. would be absolutely necessary, if you have the domain and you and your competitors are all linkbuilding, your domain could very well tip the scales. Companies like CreditCards.com and Cars.com have completely pwned far larger, more established, higher authority entities for the #1 rankings for those terms because of their domain.

you can't go wrong with regular updates, tons of backlinks and legit content, but that can be quite hard

![]() "the Google"? I thought theys spoke better English than that in Costa Rica but evidently not. I do Google just fine and in fact it was my Google research which led me to create this thread in the first place! The only sandbox around here is the one my sister's kids play in as I have never relied solely on search engine rankings for traffic. Unlike many internet markets who act like vultures waiting for something to die, I drive traffic to my sites using some fairly sophisticated methods. When I gethungry, I go out and kill something rather than wait for some magical formula to deliver me manna from some search engine's particular Heaven.
One thing I notice about GFY is that frequently when discussions begin about, shall we cay, "certain" topics, it is as though "certain" forum members do not want those topics discussed and do their level best to hijack, foul up and discredit the thread concerned. It is as though they feel that discussion of the selected topic invades or somehow threatens what they believe to be thier own little petty fiefdoms. At any rate, opinion in the serch results is divided on several matters, including the use of so-called "invisible" keyword embedding, so I remain uncertain as to the efficacy of the method. Thanks to those of you you have chosen to make intelligent and relevant contributions to this thread. Sally. |

The title of the page is most important for keywords. Google picks the title up first & uses this in its keyword searching.
