Another possibility is that wire deposits reveal more information to users than ACH deposits? ... I don't think so. But anyways, ePassporte has been very evasive in answering questions regarding where the wallet and virtual funds actually are located.

First person that looks at me gets it.

You may be right about now, but that's likely a new development, because why all the ID verification requests in the recent past?

Many people in countries with lax financial / know your customer laws use ePassporte.

And speaking of anonymity, ePassporte itself uses whois privacy and doesn't reveal much about its operations on its website nor anywhere else that I could find. Point for mentioning that is ePassporte, presumably, knows darn well a large number of their customers are very sketchy and seek to hide their identity / sheltering money / engaging in illicit activities.

This is amazing. The entire industry is holding its collective breath.

It may not be solely the amount of money that's at issue, but also regulatory issues, in particular money laundering / know your customer laws...

And there may be some merit to that, because another person in this thread asked yesterday about the status of their INcoming wire to ePassporte, which still hadn't been processed ... that's very strange; Michael O. didn't answer his question beyond saying to wait for today's announcement.

Ron

Default ACH is 600. You can get it uped though. Mine is a bit over 1k per day. :)

Slap Dot 09-09-2010 10:26 AM

So wires are not being sent out? I'm about to file for one as I was paid by a sponsor on there. Damnit.

A lot of people have had to re-verify. I was asked to re-verify my account and they gave me X number of days to do it. I inquired why since I had already uploaded the very documents they had requested and it wasn't like the documents I had uploaded had expired or anything. They told me at the time that they don't keep the documents forever so sometimes you had to verify it again. I uploaded the documents and everything was fine. About 2 weeks later they suspended my husbands account without notice and wanted him to verify his account again. When I was asked why they didn't just ask for the documentation rather than suspending the account without notice I was told that their system randomly shuts down accounts and they can't be opened until they are verified. We verified, they opened it, then before we could get our money out this happened lol

The verification message disappears once you have uploaded all stuff they have requested from you again. At least for me it did...

Everytime I log into epassporte, I fear to see my balance went to zero and some kind of "game over" video game screen appears as a console popup...

lol, same here :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Or like in Jurassic Park when the PC tech locks them out the system and his face is laughing on the screen, instead its Mr Mallicks face. :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

I'm sure everything will be ok though :)

Cradle 09-09-2010 11:17 AM

ive had this message since friday, tired of seeing it now.

my luck they'll reject some of the documents and just make me wait longer by having to submit more shit.

qwe 09-09-2010 11:18 AM

why not figure this problem out first and put more people to send out wires instead of waisting time sending verification bullshit

YDG 09-09-2010 11:18 AM

Just logged in - no message.

That may be good news though that some are seeing that as it maybe some policy which cardholders need to verify to get things rolling again?
