ya, I only have $400 but what pisses me off more is that I have to contact over 20 sponsors that send me checks monthly and change my payment info.

That and some don't offer checks so I'll have to drop them because I'm not paying $30 for a bankwire and I'm not going to support another virtual money system.

How about supporting your own business and coming to terms with the fact that not everything lasts forever.

Even if you choose another virtual system and they crash owing you 2k you would most likely have saved double that in transfer/Check fees anyways lol

Actually no because it's cheaper to do checks. Most sponsors charge nothing for them or if they do it's $2-3 and usually less than it costs to do bank transfers from a virtual account.

Those of us that live the U.S do not pay a dime to deposit checks in our banks.

AND webmasters that never purchase anything, or rarely.....as most smaller US webmasters do not have Creditcards

Mike, running an online business and running it well comes with a risk factor if you want to be successful, plan for it, its a part of doing business.

You have no idea how many webmasters base their business on virtual wallet systems and simply would not be in business without them.
That may not be you, but going out there and saying (i hope you learned your lesson) is ignorant, we need processors like epassporte....just always keep in mind what CAN happen and make sure that you have alternatives!

Yup, a designer in Russia is going to wait six weeks to hopefully get a check in the mail from me for a $20 logo.

A company will come to replace Epass as the industry standard.

If you buy anything from service providers you'll likely need to have cash sitting somewhere.

Almost everyone in the U.S has a debit card that pulls money from their own bank account. Usually it's poor people or foolish people that use credit cards here.

So we all have plastic cards to use to buy things we just use our own money instead of feeding the greedy credit companies.

I mean seriously, who pays %20 or more interest? Unless you're in a bad way and need money so badly you'd sell your first born I can't see any sane person owning a credit card.

Even if you want to improve your credit score for a future loan you don't need a credit card to do that.

So you don't have a credit card and won't use any virtual payment systems. How do you pay for hosting, domains etc? With checks by snail mail?

You seem to have a very closed view of the world. Have you ever travelled beyond the horizon from where you were born or will the goblins get you?

Credit cards help here with your credit score and it's a whole lot easier to pay with a card then pay the bill at the end of the month than carry around cash for everything you are going to buy day-to-day. Not everybody is a financial spastic that will go straight up to their credit limit on things they don't need.
