:2cents The reason why SKNAB will not steal epassporte's business

They will turn the VISA cards back on, but they will not steal Epassporte's business.

To take over epassporte's business, they would need the customer data.
At the very least, the bank would need to send an email to all clients to tell them about the move.
Do you think epassporte would hand them the customer data if they really got cheated out of their business? Do you think Epassporte would make an announcement for them?

It's not going to happen.

You think SKNAB doesn't have customer data? ... they issue cards based on what? ..

Just saying. Otherwise, i don't think bank is going to steal business from epassporte.

wasn't epassporte's announcement that it was all sknanb's fault and to bug them ? sounds like something you would announce of your enemy.

If the merchant bank has killed someone's business, and is not planning to reinstate it, why would ePassporte want to be a 'pal' at the cost of labor and money providing support any longer? If they have been nuked out of business, common sense would be to tell you to go to the merchant bank and have a nice day.

When you send all your data to epassporte, where do you think it goes?

I don't know about epassporte's business.
But they would make themselves very vulnerable if they handed all information to the bank.
I don't think the bank has our emails, for example. And other customer data probably sits at epassporte as well.

You sounded pretty confidant with your theory in your first post but now it's all 'probably's' and 'i don't knows'.

LMFAO... sknanb has ALL of our information.. in fact right now epass cannot even access alot of our information because it was fed FROM sknanb and they cut epassporte off!

But I doubt they would try to take over any P2P aspect of epassporte.. they are most likely not setup for that. (that portion was epassporte's responsibility)

he asked why epassporte would help sknanb , and i was pointing out they weren't helping them, we are stating the same opinion.

I have a feeling that for the 3 weeks before the bank completely cut off ePass, ePass was sending them documents and money.. Then once the bank had all of it, they cut ePass off.

ummm.. sure.. what makes you think the bank was doing any of that? Given they had to rely on getting to info from ePass, who's to say they were up to date? I suspect given the changes with the Visa policies regarding prepaid cards, they needed to get control of all that information for themselves.

I was adding a few "probably"s, because I am just stating my opinion and am guessing. I don't know what information the banks require from companies like epassporte. And I don't know what part VISA plays in such a business (besides providing the trademark usage rights).

I would think they need the names and the billing address to open the VISA account.
So if they wanted to steal the business from epassporte, we would all NEED to receive some snail mail from them.
