I would say that alcohol and tobacco are two the most harmful drugs ever and what's the most funny here? Both don't bring any positive effects for health although both are 100% legal and widely available everywhere. Well, I don't say that one cup of red wine from time to time is bad but most ppl drink much more than one cup at once and here starts a major problem. And about the tobacco, I don't know what's good about it... I think it's pure evil.

If heroin were legal, the amount of deaths from heroin would be much higher. This ridiculous study reminds me of another one I recently read.. http://www.time.com/time/health/arti...014332,00.html "Heavy Drinkers Outlive Nondrinkers" From all these studies, only one thing is certain, people in general are morons. Some will preach how one drug is worse than the other, then sit on their fatass all day, eat fast food, never workout a day in their life and die @ 45 of a heart attack. ![]()

3 or 4 shots of that in a pitcher of juice is all it take for most people. Picked up a bottle once in SC.
As for the study, anyone can warp data to make their point valid. To me a greater issue is that drinking is legal so you can draw a line back to it as a cause. We are all adults an know drinking can cloud your judgment and can be harmful if you over do it. But just for stupid fun: *yes I know these are ridiculous* Lets assume someone does 2 studies 1 - Cars lead to crime - then they base it on the number of crimes that are committed using cars or involving people that drive them. Including speeding and all traffic violations. Would you stop driving or alter your habits due to this study? No.. because you know someone just played with numbers to make a point. 2 - Computers/internet use leads to crime - they then base the numbers on the number of people with computers and internet access that at some point commit a crime. And then compare then numbers to people that have never owned a computer or committed a crime. Would you trash your laptop and become Amish. Again NO... because you again know it to be a false assumption. Given any amount of stats and studies to base an opinion on people can prove or show cause for just about anything, This is basically what we were told in university on our first day of Business Statistics. |

The harm caused was because of my addiction...I lived with my girlfriend who was also a junkie and we both were so mentally unstable from addiction it wasn't even funny. Thankfully, that is all in the past for me...just wish I could say the same for my exgirlfriend. I tried everything I could to help her overcome her addiction as well, but she's just not ready to quit yet. I would say the main problem with heroin addiction is once your get past using and have distanced yourself from it...you still have to battle to stay away from it every day of your life. I would do anything in the world to take back the day I first tried opiates. |

They can't and they won't because tobacco helped build this country. Yet we arrogantly go to other countries and tell them they can't grow coca plants or opium...even though their countries are centuries older than ours and were built on those crops. I hate the fucking govt. |
