New Yorkers - Macy's Day Parade
I am going to be coming into the city with my two children for the parade on Thanksgiving. We will be arriving that morning by train to Grand Central Station. Does anyone have some useful tips for me. We are only staying for the day and my kids are in 5th and 8th grades. thanks |

 2) don't buy anything from anyone, such as spots in line, seats, etc., LOTs of people will be there scamming 3) ONLY get in a taxi at the taxi line. do NOT pay for anything, including taxi fair until you have arrived or received what it is you are buying Big tourist events like this, scum bags love to come out of the wood work and prey on people who dont know. Two years ago a friend of mine went to NYC and got hosed all over the place

				 | I agree with SUpz on this one. Also make sure to bundle up, it gets really cold. I would also suggest bringing a thermos of hot chocolate for the kids because its a long event and they will get cold fast. |

				 | It's not going to be fun. I suggest staying home and watching it on TV. |
