				 | what's the deal with making a bunch of pages/sites on subdomains of a domain you own? On linkspun, I keep noticing that some people will have a bunch of subdomains sites. I don't mean like thumblogger or pornblogspace, I mean subdomains on a domain that I believe the webmaster owns. ie: asianchicks.myporndomain.com ebonysex.myporndomain.com teenpussy.myporndomain.com bbws.myporndomain.com bdsm.myporndomain.com silviasweet.myporndomain.com schoolgirlfantasies.myporndomain.com milfhunter.myporndomain.com etc etc etc (note I just made the above examples up, they aren't real sites) What is the point of this? Can anyone explain to me what the strategy is behind doing this? Why might someone do this as opposed to having a unique domain for each site? I am assuming google penalizes this somehow, or else why wouldn't everyone just do this and not have to pay for tons of domains?

				 | They think it's good for SEO - while they need to rank each subdomain separately, as Google sees subdomains as REAL domains. I'd never do that to my site, it just makes it messy, nothing else. Subdomains for categories (amateur, webcam, blowjob, etc) are ok if you have enough time to rank for each category, but randomly picking some keywords is pretty stupid.
