Opinions on my new porn SEO site?

I'm going to start this one off with a disclaimer: I'm not an expert on SEO.

So why did I make a site about porn SEO?

Well, this is a beginner's guide. It's designed to help those who are just starting out and are confused by, well, everything - as I was. I started off thinking it would be a neat way to put in a few affiliate links and maybe get a few extra bucks, but it's turning into something I'm actually quite proud of. And it's encouraging me to learn as I write, making me think about what's really useful to beginner webmasters and helping me with my own SEO.

I'm not yet allowed to post URLs but if you type in seoforporn with a handy .com after it, you're bound to find me.

I'd be really happy if you guys could have a look and tell me what you think. I'm pretty certain there are mistakes / glaring omissions / ugly half-truths scattered around in there, but I ask only this of you experienced folks: be gentle with me. I'm a 6 month old pseudo newbie with - I hope - enough experience to help folks starting off, but I'd appreciate your feedback.

Many thanks,

Andy (:

Umm... many things? You seem to have been around for a while so I assume you know what you're talking about in some respects. Do you SEO? Do you do it for adult sites? If so, are you seriously telling me you use the same techniques for both 'regular' and adult sites?

Just checked it out there longpig. Like the look of it, nice clean layout and good space.
From my view it would be definitely worth developing a site like that more. Flesh it out with more decent content and maybe some more in depth tutorials. Is it built on a silo structure?
And lol at the 'thousand email stare' line )

Also you go into the social side for a bit, using forums. If you are promoting a girl would you be thinking along the lines of posting as that girl or as a webmaster?

Thanks Barry, appreciate the feedback. I'm working on a few other things at the moment so it won't be fleshed out much more than one new article a week, but it'll get there.

It's a actually a wordpress theme called 'Grid responsive' (which makes it hellish to search for theme-specific help as you might guess).

I'm not sure what you mean about promoting a girl - I'm writing as myself, it's not really focused on adult stars.

By the way, can you (or anyone) think of a way to linkbuild for the site? I'm really not sure who I should be approaching for this, as I imagine anyone in a similar niche won't want to link out to others who'd potentially take a sale. Any ideas?

The promoting a girl thing, is just where I'm at at the moment so I'm just exploring possible ideas.

I haven't done much link building for a porn site, but as yours isn't exactly that and more of an instructional site I would say it would be worth looking at building yourself a private network of sorts. You could also use this for any similar ventures like this you do.
I'm new to porn scene, as a worker ;), but it seems link exchanges are used a lot. Though you would want to look into if reciprocal links are a bad thing for your site, as many believe they can be.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! That is super cool to put together. I'm a Newbie, found some respects the internet marketing concepts are overwhelming. Overall, my observation from go fuck yourself forum, almost everything is bought, sold, traded. Domains, links, traffic back and forth, affiliations, content,... It almost reminds me of a Mercantile Market or Futures Market in a simple way. My guess, it could get more complicated.. Speculating

So whats your rate? Ive been in adult SEO since 2009 and its hard work, even with helptools.... i belive that since now google starts to take away outbound backlinks and only count inner backlinks oldschool SEO is dying.... whats impoortant in good SEO u need to have content.... I have 30plus sites and i see more and more that the old way of SEO is out, with that, I dont mean u should stop with backlinking but with more calm and quality.... this way I belive you all go to the top in your keywords....
Social media will allways be one way of using to get traffic aswell

SEO for porn is pretty simple: http://www.linkspun.com but you gotta be consistent with trades and reserve your money sites as hidden and offer a few lower quality ones you don't mind putting links on for trade.

What do you mean by rate? I agree with everything else here, it' all about the quality. And yes, social media - article coming soon on that (:

Content is pictures and text, nothing more. Take a look at the article for it on my site in the sig.

I'm going to look into linkbuilding for the site, but I think it's uniquely difficult for hosting sites in general. As for porn linkbuilding, again: there's an article for that... (:

Most mainstream site won't link to a porn site so it makes it a little bit trickier. Plus, its hard to write articles for porn.

I would not really want a mainstream site linking to me, unless it was an authority news site running a pukka article on my site.

If you find it hard to write an article on porn then either employ a writer or give up!
