				Key words ???
Howdy I am launching my first site in the next few days and one of the members here recomended I use key words that are slightly "less searched"... The idea being that I would rank higher on those words than if I tried to compete with the big boys right out of the gate.. I get the reasoning and like the idea.. Problem is.. How do I determine what words are search the most & the least? Is there a website that shows #of searched for specific key words?? Thanks |

				 | there are a couple places to look for keywords. You can use google webmaster tools or there is also keywordspy.com which has a free version. Good luck! |

				 | You main source of info will be AdWords Keyword Planner. You can expand your keyword list on places like: - Bing Webmaster Tools - Wordtracker Free Keyword Tool - Google Trends - (a lot of other tools / less important, like, lets say ubersuggest.org) - your own brainstorming / permutations (could be permugram.org) etc Does anybody know about something better than permugram.org for permutations, by the way? Long tail keywords with lower seo competition are easier to rank. Seo competition can be checked with Market Samurai (the best tool for that). I usually don't go lower than 880 searches per month, Exact Match Type (in case of the USA). People say that 33% - 53% of clicks go to the first result in Google, so if it you are on the first place of Google for a keyword with 880 searches a month in should amount to about 15 visitors a day (best quality, relevant / targeted traffic to your site). |
