ABout to start a tube using TubeX. Recommendations?

So I have my domain, niche, hosting secured. First time running a tube site, and after some research I chose TubeX as the script. Once I have my content, descriptions, and sponsors set, what do you recommend? Link trade script?

Thanks,

*Edit- Obviously I need to work on my organic traffic first- recommendations for this?*

Tubex is officially dead. I'd pick another script. You shouldn't be running a tube site on a virtual host. Once your dedicated server is set up you can have all of the required software installed quite easily.

TubeX updates are dead but for $25 it's almost a no risk investment.
Starting out you can use shared hosting and migrate to something bigger as your traffic grows.
Check my sig for hosting. It's who I use.

There's still a little support on the jmbsoft forums... and if you email Jeremy he'll help you out. He's just not going to develop/upgrade any of his scripts anymore. He only retired this year, and the scripts still run great so for the price it's worth it for a start-up. I still make plenty affiliate sales pushing his scripts, so a lot of people are still buying/using them.

As others said, I'd get started with Tubex but think about moving onto a supported script later on like Mechbunny mentioned above.
$25 might as well be free.

totally agree! I was very reluctant to use TubeX, I don't like cheap scripts, but I couldn't be more surprised when I installed tubex, it's a very good script! But as others said, I decided to go for this one having in mind moving to Mechbunny once (if) my traffic grows and will pay the $1300 for Mechbunny. I started many projects over the years and I know some of them just don't work and are not worth the time you need to spend updating it.

I spend more than $25/day on cigarets, so I wouldn't notice it at all, however $1300 for a project which didn't work...

Go with TubeX, if it works - migrate to Mechbunny, I'm sure Kondrad will be happy to do it for you.
