Hi Everyone,

For all webmasters that get paid by check, please do not deposit them. There is an industry wide issue with WebmasterChecks company.
This company handles the check payments for our affiliate programs. The checks they have sent will likely not process.
Please contact us directly to setup alternative payment methods immediately. We will take every step necessary to make sure all fees are covered for returned checks.

It is our understanding that all wires and epass payments for last period have been sent properly. If for some reason, you have not received payment; let us know!

Please contact Nick directly :

[email protected] and we will make sure everything is sorted out immediately.

Thanks!

Michael, does this mean that people that are currently paying their hosting bill with epass visa are now going to be late payments?

I do not use ePassporte, however when I saw the original poster mention St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank, an immediate red flag went up.

Some of you may remember the name (Robert) Allen Stanford, who ran the second largest ponzi scheme behind Bernie Madoff, reportedly ripping people off for $8 billion.

Stanford kept most of the money he stole hidden in Caribbean banks, and now the people that he ripped off are suing Stanford related banks to get their money back.

Google the bank name and Mr Stanford's name, or the bank name +"money laundering", corruption, scam, or several other words associated with bad/illegal banking practices, and, well, let's just say it doesn't look good. :Oh crap

I hope everyone gets their money... :2 cents:

Yup, and im sure biz as we know it will come to a screaming hault for brokers/ad companies that buy ads etc and epass and visa is to blame. Mark my words. If this does not get fixed within the week, epass or visa will be responsible(however you look at it) for so many people losing sites/wanting to sell there sites/ and people going out of biz or losing worse(rent, bills etc).

gleem 09-02-2010 08:42 PM

if everyone is yanking their money out via wire now, won't that basically send the bank into a shithole and go belly up? A run on withdrawals kills banks.

Hmm ok, sounds to me that someone other than Visa want to look into the money trail here.

IF and only IF epassporte warned us that IF we ever get shut down by visa, put your money in your wallet so you can transfer it out then I would of done that as many others. This is the obscene part about it. IF you use epass wallet then you can wire to ur bank. WTF uses wallet? The difference never made sense and no one that i know ever thought to use it. No perks for using the wallet and no reason to accept to maybe make sure your money didnt get stolen if you lost your card or whatevr. Another nice way to fuck us.

BSleazy 09-02-2010 08:47 PM

I guess it's back to using checks again.

Sell everything you have now, mark my words, this industry is done as you knew it. :2 cents:

...and it goes WAY deeper than epassporte.

AzteK 09-02-2010 08:48 PM

Good bye ePass. I've changed my payout methods. I suggest everyone to do the same. Your money, even in your 'wallet' is not safe as they are not covered by FDIC.

DVTimes 09-02-2010 08:48 PM

big news for today

Spunky 09-02-2010 08:48 PM

Hopefully isn't a long wait and a fairly reasonable quick solution.first reaction is to panic at first but at least this was announced quickly and Michael is trying to fan the flames now.

all you with real money in the mix, i hope you get it soon

Michael O, keep your chin up, man

I had all my incoming wires set to goto my wallett in my biz account, but I can't see how they are going to wire everyone all their money in the bank, will prolly take a dedicated team of 50 working round the clock to process the wire request faxes & emails they will have by the morn. Not to mention the bank will go under when there is no money left to wire out.

DVTimes 09-02-2010 08:55 PM

i sort of prefer checks

Shap 09-02-2010 08:56 PM

Wow you guys don't even want to know how much i just wired out. I still have a lot in the account but damn i'm happy my wire went out last week. Thanks to mpahlca for pushing me to get it done.

pornjudge 09-02-2010 09:04 PM

Obama :2 cents:

...and Im not trolling either. I truly mean this President is so anti-business he is pushing companies to go to extremes and shore up their own loose ends. Its a mad money and asset scramble everywhere right now.

CyberHustler 09-02-2010 09:08 PM

Better use some of that MiddleMen money to un-fuck this :2 cents:

Slick 09-02-2010 09:15 PM

We should take is easy on Michael, we're very fortunate to have someone like him that actually comes on this board to keep us all updated and answer questions. It's MUCH nicer than trying to talk to one of their foreign phone support people that you can barely understand, ha ha.

Thanks Michael, I'm one person that appreciates you !! In the couple of times I had issues, you took care of me right away and I'm sure you're doing what you can to help take care of the situation.

adult-help 09-02-2010 09:16 PM

WTF uses wallet?
---
I thought that is the logical way. If your credit card gets stolen or smth no one can take your money as it is safe in wallet. I log in to epass daily so when the funds in visa run low I just transfer them from wallet. It really is much better way than keeping it all in VISA.

But I got burned too for around $500. Also the date couldn't be worse since most affiliates send you the payment around 1st so you cant change the payment to check or smth in such a short notice....

Michael when you say you are resolving this issue - what does this mean exactly? Are you trying to persuade visa that the issues cards will start working again? That it will be just like before? Or are you trying to get the seized funds back but our visa cards will be useless...

Very true,
Michael's been nothing but helpful over the years, a great rep and epass was lucky to have him.

Unfortunately, as we can imagine the boys at epass are going to abandon him here, while the ship goes down and Michael likely doesn't even know just how fucked up things really are.

flashfire 09-02-2010 09:19 PM

Michael I just emailed you...please get back to me asap

thanks

That's usually what happened when other companies went under, the one nice rep is stuck on the board and taking ICQ's while the higher ups strip the offices and sell off the last carpet on their way to the airport telling the nice rep "we are gonna get this fixed, tell em it's all good, you will get a raise when it's done".

I don't think epass is doing this, they are rock solid, chris is a close personal friend and everything. Just saying this is always how it started and 3 months later finally people realize it's just over and there's no one left to yell at and no hope left of seeing your moolah.

Fat Panda 09-02-2010 09:22 PM

Michael is the best!

hawkadu 09-02-2010 09:24 PM

Michael, I believe you are an employee at ePassporte but do you know actually what happened behind the scene? VISA will not do this all of a sudden this is what I believe and something must have happened behind the scene which you may not know either.

Do you know what happened and what is the probability of a resolution? It seems a bit unreal that VISA came and did the suspension all of a sudden without a reason. While I have high hopes that this issue will get resolved, its way too much scary.

Yes, I do have my money stuck in epass.

AlCapone 09-02-2010 09:27 PM

I'll make a guess that they are trying to recoup the HUGE loss on the Middle Men movie project.

Obviously, there's some type of legalities involved. VISA isn't just going to all of a sudden shutdown a huge 7 year old account without first talking about it, unless they were issued a court order that included an immediate C&D.

Scary thing is this isnt out of the realm of possibilities. the movie grossed just 300k so far and had some big names in it

such a fail

Fat Panda 09-02-2010 09:31 PM

I agree, Visa just wouldn't drop in unannounced and pull the plug. Epass must have known about this for months and kept account holders in the dark just like any other bank / service would, fuckers.

This is why I think Visa or someone even above them seized the funds like the DOJ.

Or this could all be BS and one the owners needs to pay off a big Vegas marker or movie investment.

We are working on getting everything back to normal with working cards and so on.
