My big catch today...
Any people here like to fish?
Decided to take the day off and relax a little, take a fishing trip. Did pretty good today. http://www.teamclickcash.com/funny/f..._5-18-2011.jpg It was 3 of us, we caught 55 Speckled Trout and 1 Red Fish. The trout averaged about 2-3 pounds each, the Red Fish was about 8 pounds. Will be eating fish a little bit later, nothing like fresh fried fish for dinner :) If you fish and have pictures of what you catch, post'em! |
I played with my Trouser Trout today!!

I love to fish. I'm heading to Tennessee next month to fish with my dad for the month while my son is on summer break. I can't wait. It's sooo relaxing. I will take some pics for sure.

Here are a few pics from my last trip to the lake in Tennessee.

nice pics in here, as someone who has never ever fished before, does it make a difference to the experience and serenity if it is from a boat or land?
also do you smash the fish on the head or let it die in the air? I think I might be too pusy to do that |
very nice :winkwink:

Here are some scenic pictures I dug up from previous fishing trips: Day break over the marsh, with a shrimping boat in the background picking up his net: http://www.teamclickcash.com/funny/fishing01.jpg Out in the gulf with a line of thunderstorms blowing through, that produced a small water spout very close to an oil rig: http://www.teamclickcash.com/funny/fishing02.jpg One of the bigger fish I have caught, about a 20 pound Red Fish: http://www.teamclickcash.com/funny/big_red.jpg |
Here's a couple from a Nicaragua trip a couple of years ago (in San Juan Del Sur)...

70lbs grouper I shot spearfishing a week or so ago. http://hollymountainfarm.com/spearfi...ouper_4_21.jpg Smaller Grouper caught using a down rigger. http://hollymountainfarm.com/spearfi...apper_4_21.jpg 45lbs Snapper caught on a down rigger. I love to fish / spearfish. I used to fly fish for Red Fish a lot in Texas. Those are some nice ones posted! :) |
Sweet wig. :thumbsup
|
Are you spearfishing from a boat or while diving?

We usually sell our catch to the local restaurants. Last week we shot 500lbs of grouper, 200lbs of snapper and 100lbs of snook. Sale price whole is about $0.80 to $1.50 a pound depending on the type of fish. It almost always pays for all our gas, ice, food and drinks, and usually we'll take a 100lbs to my friends restaurant where we trade that for a a kick ass dinner and a few bottles of wine! |
Time to do some fishing here too! Nice catch! :thumbsup

We basically ease towards the buoy and then make our descent as the current brings us to the spot (structure of some sort; wreck, rock croppings, etc). One guy stays on the boat and we take turns. |
|
Sounds awesome. Easy to move around with just fins, snorkel and weights if you want.
