So if you sell your soul to the devil it's only worth $15k? LOL. Pass.

MaDalton 06-06-2011 03:29 PM

5 Million Euro and you never hear of me again ;)

alias 06-06-2011 03:30 PM

Do they include the crack, or was that phased out after the Chris 8.0 fiasco?

96ukssob 06-06-2011 03:33 PM

i wonder how many people are going to take that $15k... :2 cents:

Brujah 06-06-2011 03:33 PM

in many countries thats more than most regular jobs pay, so i am sure Rajid and Hung Lo will apply...

DWB 06-06-2011 03:36 PM

I'd do it just to learn the plan and let all of you know what's coming.

They would fire me in like 6 days. I'd beat Lebrun's record.

jk, I wouldn't do it. But I'd sucker punch Lawley in the face if I saw him in Thailand.

I would think it would be in our best interest to stack the advisory committee with people that are on our side. Don't you?

If history has taught us one thing it is that the ICM will twist the facts and use things like defensive preregistrations or IFFOR applications as a sign of support.

You don't work with the enemy hoping that you'll somehow be able to influence them a tiny bit, you fight them till the bitter end.

Markul 06-07-2011 03:28 AM

lol somehow I read that title as IFOR and was like wtf? :1orglaugh

Nicky 06-07-2011 03:32 AM

15k per year :error

spazlabz 06-07-2011 06:45 AM

I dont think it is the money that is really what should be considered, although it is extremely small all things considering. The only reason I would ever consider taking a position like that is if it was actually a position that would make a difference, someone who could actually help reel in IFFOR if and when it begins to over step.

It is my own personal opinion that they have an agenda beyond making XXX the standard for our industry and that no token webmaster advisers will make even one tiny bit of a difference

Due 06-07-2011 06:57 AM

How much will it bring in extra through "tips ? ?

Due 06-07-2011 07:04 AM

PS anyone that hate xxx should apply for this. This would be your change to make a difference in how the future of xxx will be governed and what standards that is going to apply

I am more open, i said i sent a resume. But you never know if i am serious.

But i know about politics. This is what the main strategy local politics use here.

- They put several stakeholders with different interest together
- The say they had been adepted by the industry and have a commision to think things over
- All input will be mixed.
- The result is some rules nobody can agree upon, but you have to because there are different interest and you have to give a little, take a little.
- The rules will be presented as negotiated rules, made by the industry, marketeers, webmasters, mainstream companies, child protection, etcetra.
- And than they will try to make it mandotary because these are the rules 'the people' wants.

As a member of the policy council you have explain to the group you represent why you agreed with those rules that most people don't want.

And at the end people adapt, just like the tubes are adapted and people want to be in the policy council next time they need a new candidate.

Logic has no place here. :)

?We want to make sure people who are on the council are compensated for their time, because we value that,? Irvine said. ?By paying a stipend, expense associated with lost work hours becomes a non-issue.?

However, she added, ?People do not have to accept [the stipend].?
If you're devoted enough they will let you do it for free :1orglaugh

And it is your position that we should have a bunch of right wing tea party representatives on the council?

Redrob 06-07-2011 04:24 PM

<---- Is probably on the Shit List at IFFOR.:1orglaugh
