US police are to search a rural house in eastern Texas, where they believe there is a mass grave.

US media say there may be up to 30 dismembered bodies including children buried there.

Liberty County Sheriff's Department Spokesman Rex Evans says the office received an anonymous report on Tuesday that there were bodies in the home.

Police are seeking a search warrant for the property, whose residents are said to be "uncooperative".

FBI spokeswoman Kim Barkhausen in Houston confirmed to Reuters that the FBI had been asked to help with the investigation, but would not elaborate.

Investigators said they received a report about the location, but they did not elaborate, the station said.

Local paper Cleveland Advocate said the tipster told authorities dozens of dismembered bodies were buried at the scene.

Sheriff's deputies had closed down a rural intersection at the scene about 51 miles east of Houston. Aerial television footage showed a brick house in a stand of thick trees at the end of a rural road.

I think I should wait for CNN to report with all these different stories coming in.

CBS and FOX have now reported this as well. It's looking less and less like a hoax and in fact, is a story that I think will be extremely sad when the details come out. From what I am seeing so far, the tears are getting harder to fight back. :(
