How are your sales doing?

My new signups have been 50% off for a couple weeks now from the prior 6 months average.

I am above water on pretty much rebills. I am not complaining but wtf... I would think in an economic time of distress online surfers would pay more for porn!

How are your sales doing?? I blame the xsales WAY more then the economic turmoil we are faced with.

Barefootsies 03-02-2009 09:55 PM

Memberships off. Regardless of site. Part of it my problem for that.
Clips sales rocking as always.
:2 cents:

mmcfadden 03-02-2009 10:04 PM

I think traditional memberships are off now. I was seeing 400 on average and its above 1000 now.

Clip sales, right on

btw... reaching out to some cams programs. Gonna likely just join up with someone for now...

I've got several girls who are willing to do the cams... i have a bunch of traffic from two sites that I feel is just pissing away sales.

I wanna test the waters with it ya know... cams is def. the future of every site.

TeenCat 03-03-2009 03:15 AM

mr mmcfadden your site was new and everyone wanted to look inside, everyone was promoting your site, you got big start, as every new site. now you will go down, dont expect going back up ... :2 cents: thats how it works, imho ...

kmanrox 03-03-2009 03:33 AM

i check affiliate stats like once every couple of months and i just noticed that overal revenue was down 50% last month, but the month before than and all other months previous there was no change.. weird.

NickB. 03-03-2009 03:36 AM

NetHorse 03-03-2009 03:53 AM

HomerSimpson 03-03-2009 04:12 AM

GoLiaT 03-03-2009 04:14 AM

some sponsors are doing 0/4500 for febr , others 1/300 ..
after march i think its time to do a clean up in the sponsor list..

Adam_M 03-03-2009 04:15 AM

Hi mmcfadden,

We pay up to 36% for first tier and up to 18% for second tier referrals, performers included. We also offer the largest model base which makes conferting visitors easy.

Hitting you up on icq with additional details.

Regards,

Bart

DebsDeep 03-03-2009 05:18 AM

I think sales are pretty good, got a lil scary in Jan, but seems to be good now

nico-t 03-03-2009 05:25 AM

the news shouldnt make a fucking hype about the crisis, all went well, the day they said 600.000 jobs would be gone at te end of jan: Everybody stopped buying shit for 2 weeks. Fucked up.

CurrentlySober 03-03-2009 06:28 AM

I just like poo...

pornguy 03-03-2009 06:32 AM

I have actually seen an increase as well. Not a lot, maybe about 15% this year.

Filter your traffic to the right niches. And make sure the niches are delivering.

If anyone needs ides on that, ICQ me.

huh ? :error

Paul Markham 03-03-2009 08:56 AM

Over all not good and any sponsor telling you otherwise might have an ulterior motive.

The monthly recurring are not good, 2 day trials and non recurring getting along fine. The members are telling us all very clearly what they want.

Live with it or live with nothing.

EscortBiz 03-03-2009 09:14 AM

sales suck across the board, dont matter if its adult or mainstream clips or pay per view, im diversified enough to know anyone telling you its the same or better is full of shit (unless they now spend 10x more in marketing etc)

Rochard 03-03-2009 09:41 AM

I just pulled my monthly stats last night. Everything is increasing for me - Traffic, sales, and ratios. However, during that same period I got very busy, going from one blog to fifty. Ratios are climbing too.

st0ned 03-03-2009 09:50 AM

Last month was down about 1k (roughly 5%) but I wasn't promoting as heavily as I normally am. The start of the month (rent time) always sucks for me, yesterday being one of the worse. Back on track today though. :thumbsup

Not true. I spend $0 every month on marketing and generally always grow each month. Due to last month being so busy away from work I dropped a bit.

Shap 03-03-2009 09:53 AM

We had a little slow down in February vs January. We were still up a few percent Feb 09 vs Feb 08

SKULL 03-03-2009 09:55 AM

Sales are terrible this days.... lets hope everything gets better

SteveHardeman 03-03-2009 09:57 AM

My affiliate sales are down. Way down. I was killing it the first half of Feb and then it's like someone turned off the spigot.

However, my paysite sales are up. Now, before you call me a liar, understand that my site is only like 7 months old. So, we really have nowhere to go but up. :-) My guess is that we're growing at a solid pace due to a lot of surfers seeing the site for the first time.

If you're considering replacing a sponsor, give our site a look around. If you think it'll convert your traffic, give it a shot. I don't know your traffic so I can't guarantee crazy ratios. I can guarantee that we rebill very well. I'd like to think that just the new-ness of the site alone would provide you quality ratios at first and then only time can tell how we do thereafter.

Thanks.

tranza 03-03-2009 10:19 AM

MMM, Hope is doing well...

Reak AGV 03-03-2009 11:06 AM

Pretty steady no complaints here.

Lamis 03-03-2009 11:07 AM

funny how all sponsors are fucking LIARS.. saying "yeah.. all is fine here.. sales are ALWAYS increasing..." and they have the banner in their sig to join..

what a bunch of LIAR motherfuckers.. we all know the business is totally ruined... you don't need to lie. suckers.

Right ADAM? you fucking homo.

Actually what you are experiencing is EXACTLY what I've been seeing as well. As more and more review sites "educate" our surfers and explain to them what an affiliate program is....more and more surfers are skipping links and typing it in.

As an affiliate of over 300 programs out there...I can honestly say that I'm sending plenty of damn good REAL traffic. But can't make a sale to save my soul these days.
And yet...claudia-marie.com is kicking ass.

We did 33 new joins on March 1st for instance. No trials there either as we don't offer trial memberships. Of those 33 only 5 were from affiliates. 28 of them were type ins (my favorite)

Congrats to all the freesites out there who thought that educating the surfer would set them apart and earn them some kind of "trust"

I already had their trust on Grampland.Com from years of giving them the best links with no popups. Too bad they all know what affiliate programs are and how they work now. Kinda took the marketing strategy of "being a nice guy delivering free porn" away from me and handed it to....torrent sites and illegit tube sites.

Nice job guys! :thumbsup

alexchechs 03-03-2009 12:24 PM

We have actually been doing a bit steady with maybe a 5% increase overall. Our traffic has seen a little steady bump

Robbie, you trying to turn this into a drama thread? :-)

I gotta disagree with you a bit here. Freesites means review sites, right? Review sites don't tell people about affiliate programs and if they did, I don't think the surfer would care. They just want to see porn.

Are you saying a surfer sees a site from a link and they go "Hey, I saw a review site once that told me about these free sites and how people make money when I sign up for a site that they referred me to but I want to make sure no one but the site owner makes any money from me so I'm going to re-type this web-address in"?
