Here is my first one... LOL! Did I ever think i was balling when i upgraded from a pager to an actual cell phone. I believe i was with Clearnet (which got bought out by Telus).

My old man had a bag phone in his car back in the late 80's and i thought that was the ULTIMATE in coolness! haha!

Ice 06-11-2009 11:34 AM

I had one phone before the StarTac but can't remember what it was.

Motorola 4500. Fucker put out 1/4 watt and had an (in)convienent carry bag. The huge mass on the bottom is the lead acid battery. Had to weigh at least 20lbs.

That was the king of the hill back in the day. StarTac was probably more popular than the razr was a few years ago.

My first ever was the StarTac. I was just out of High School. It was a piggy back on my parents account. No one I knew at the time had their own cell phone. It was still pager city.
