What was "the secret ingredient"? |
awesome!
good shit mang :)
what did you do?
i need to lose about 20
all i really did was change what, how, and when i eat.... that's it. not sure if that qualifies as a secret though. :)
Conrats........:thumbsup
awesome!
I've lost 43 pounds also since New Year, and I still have another 30-40 to go yet! Posts like this are very inspiring, and I also just started eating a bit better foods - more whole foods - and smaller portions, several times a day .. I consider the eating I do more as "snacking" several times a day! The energy boost, and increased stamina, makes it all worthwhile! :thumbsup |
Congrats!
How tall are you? Thats a pretty big % change in a short time. Congrats.
I've lost 22 kilo in the past 12 months, that's around 48 pounds. Sensible meals, no junk food (aside form when it's unavoidable), no sugar in tea or coffee and no eating after dinner. Haven't exercised either. I've already had to buy new jeans and just today I noticed I've lost another 2 kilo and these jeans are feeling decidedly large!
Congrats, that is a great accomplishment.. you must feel 10x better body and mind. I went from a life high of 190 to 175 this year with a trainer and eating better. Looking forward to being in the best shape ever in a few months, hopefully!

Sounds great! Keep up the good work.

Congratulations. What do you eat in a typical day now compared to before? I'm fortunately not overweight, but I do want to improve my diet and I'm looking for ideas for healthier meals.
I've lost some more weight since May but not much, maintaining myself at about 170 pounds, will start my boxing comeback in about fourteen days once I am sure I cured the flu and do some cardio work beforehand to warm up the body.
Will need to work a lot on endurance and stamina. Also want to be able to do 20 pull ups till the end of the year. |
Nice! Congrats, man :thumbsup
Congrats for your ambition.
Sounds great, congratulations!

Wow! That's allot of weight and I am sure you feel better....good job. Now it's time to go shopping for new clothes :thumbsup

no,.... no wild diets or crazed workouts.... just stopped eating junk 24/7 (webmaster food) and switched to eating 5 - 6 small "meals" a day consisting of whatever i want..... most of which consists of fruit, oats, chicken, fish, etc.... the good stuff... and one or two small ones consisting of snacky stuff.... salsa, tortillas, beef, pasta, etc... and lots and lots of water.
dump the soda, the sugar, and useless crap like buttered popcorn, candy, desserts, sweets, pizzas, fast food, etc.... i literally just stopped being overweight. as i like to say about many things, don't think you can.... know you can. and don't get hung up on checking the scale every day, i think i checked the scale about 3 times. (last one was yesterday). at 185 and 5'11" tall, i'm right where i should be. now if i can just stabilize and not lose any more...... that will be the real accomplishment. Control. But the lesson here i guess is that anyone can lose weight if they want, and you don;t have to spend a wad of money ordering new diets or magic pills.... everything you need is at the grocery store. it's pretty wild.... all of my clothes have become useless. nothing fits now.... size 36 - 38 jeans are now shelved. even the 34's are too big and i was hoping to keep those, but I'm gonna need to get some 32's again. haven't seen those in 10 years. thanks everyone for the props.... it was one of the easiest things i've ever done. :) |
nice achievement.
Congrats man I got about 50 more to go, dropped 90 so far, but i changed everything and work out 5 days a week. Cuting out the junk food was the hardest thing to do !

i agree on the junk food, but once you get going on cutting it out, it picks up steam on it's own and get's easier. :) |
At some point you stated you where almost starving yourself, only drinking water... Am I correct?
