Except it wasn't so much the show that was dropped, it was Charlie Sheen who was dropped.

They're just putting it on hold for the rest of the season. Doesn't sound like they've fully committed to canceling it.

Sheen needs to keep his mouth shit and just lay low for a while. Honestly I don't think his behavior is too off par from his normal antics over the past 20+ years, the fucking drives cars off cliffs- literally. He's just under the microscope- and IMO largely because ever since Tiger Woods even escorts try to make a media payday when they get some famous d.

Two and a Half Men belongs to CBS, unless they sell the rights to create new episodes to another network, (which they would never do, probably just to spite Charlie Sheen) it won't be picked up by anyone.

Charlie Sheen is hilarious, what a cynical fuck. Anyone have a link to the full interview?

Listened to him on Jones today, he was high as a kite. Interview gone bad. Two and a half men is funny as hell... too bad it's gone.
Reruns will still be a riot.

What a bullshit thread title. I hate when people do shit like that.

CBS is not producing any more episodes this season because they are worried about Charlie Sheen. They didn't "drop" the show.

And what the fuck is that all about anyway? He shows up and does his job...real well. If he wants to party on HIS time...why is CBS worrying about it? It's their Number One show for Christ's sake.

Our country is getting more and more self-righteous and people are sticking their noses in where it doesn't belong. If he wants to get fucked up and get some good pussy, it's nobodies goddamn business.

I'm a huge fan of Charlie's work (don't watch his show) but he's a prick... like someone said in the thread earlier, he's putting other people's future in jeopardy. People may be unemployed because of this asstard

But then again...they might not have been employed in the first place if not for him.

The guy who plays his brother? He'd probably be selling insurance.
The kid? He'd be in school.
The fat lady that plays the maid? Unemployed.
The woman who plays their mom? Unemployed.

Everybody on that set and the network itself has made a ton of money because of him. And remember: He hasn't missed any work. He has shown up sober and ready to roll every day of production.

They are doing this simply based on being politically correct. The CBS network doesn't really care about Charlie Sheen on a personal level. The only people who do love him like that would be his own family.

I think this whole thing is overblown. If he wants to party with porn stars and do blow on his offtime..so what? I like doing that too. It's nobodies business. He's a grown man.

Now if he shows up on set all fucked up? Then THAT is a problem.

But he hasn't. Matter of fact he kicks ass at work and is the shining star of the show. This whole thing is just more of our country and it's moralistic bullshit in my opinion.

If he does get too fucked up and dies from too much partying one night...so what? He's a big boy (an adult). He can do what he chooses. Hopefully that won't happen.

I've been doing massive quantities of recreational drugs and fucking whores since 1978 and I'm not only alive...but in great shape. lol

Now if he were addicted and legally doing prescription drugs, then I would be worried. But doing blow? The main thing he has to worry about there is keeping his cock hard.

I hate to tell you, but this is not about Charlie Sheen's well being, health or radio interviews. CBS is a much larger than Charlie Sheen will ever be. It is worth more money and has a lot more to lose than some doped up 'has been' on a TV sitcom.

They have standards and a reputation to live up to, as well as a much larger presence to protect. One idiot spewing his mouth off at a few radio shows or fucking a few porn stars might seems like nothing to you, but to a multibillion dollar business it does.

It tarnishes it's(CBS) name in the eyes of the media, they eyes of it's investors and more importantly the eyes of it's viewers and fans. I personally hope they throw this loose cannon out the fucking back door of the studio and tell him to never come back.

This was a pissing contest between the studio execs and Charlie Sheen and Charlie lost. The execs caved and let Charlie come back which made Charlie think he had all the power. But then he went public and rubbed it in their faces with that interview. Studio execs don't get to that level by being pushed around and humiliated, so they let him know who the real bosses are.

This has nothing to do with drug use, it has to do with someone thinking he had more control than he actually did.

Trust me, the execs don't care about his drug use. But if you humiliate people in power they will fuck you over, even if it costs them money.

cbs has been the station for old people for a long time now, they don't get much of the prime time audience, at least not before two and half men.

My take on it was that there was really not much of an issue with Charlie being Charlie. Production was set to resume next week. Until he had his meltdown regarding the producer. Here are a few choice quotes:

""I violently hate Chaim Levine (Chuck Lorre). He's a stupid, stupid little man and a pussy punk that I'd never want to be like." Charlie adds, "That's me being polite."

"That piece of shitt [Lorre] took money out of my pocket, my family's pocket, and, most importantly, my second family -- my crew's pocket."

"You can tell him [Lorre] one thing. I own him."

Star or not, in the end, Charlie still is a working stiff, and I don't know many places where you can run your mouth off publicly about people higher than you on the company ladder and expect to keep your job.

I agree 1000% with the posts in reply to mine. It's definitely a "power struggle" between an actor and the producers. None of them are really "worried" about Charlie Sheen or any of the bullshit that is being spewed on the news.

Speaking of which...

Doesn't it speak volumes that our "news" is "reporting" on stupid stuff like this? This is the kind of crap that used to be in the tabloid magazines at the checkout counter of the grocery store. The kind of mindless shit that old ladies read as they were waiting to pay for their groceries.

And now? As I'm writing this I have CNN playing on t.v.

And they are spending broadcast time talking and laughing about Charlie Sheen's personal life.

Unreal. The world is full of turmoil. And they deem THIS to be important enough to be on the news?

I guess CBS isn't the only company profiting off of Charlie Sheen.

charlie sheen's struggles against chaim levine are just a microcosm of the struggles of the people of the middle east against their dictators.

Wow, this Alex jones guy is so fucking full of shit. I've never seen a person so full of shit. Charlie Sheen must be in a pretty sorry place to have this douchnozzle as a cheerleader.

It's over for Charlie Sheen.

After a day of unhinged and unsolicited comments ripping his show's executive producer Chuck Lorre and assorted enemies -- Alcoholics Anonymous and Thomas Jefferson, among others -- the star finally went further than CBS and Warner Brothers Television could take.

The network and TV production company announced Thursday that they had pulled the plug on television's top-rated comedy, "Two and a Half Men," which was scheduled to restart production on Monday.

"Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of "Two and a Half Men" for the remainder of the season," the companies said in a joint statement.

A spokesman for Sheen -- not that he appears to be relying on one these days -- had no immediate comment.

Bing: Sheen's advice for Lohan

The show, which airs on Mondays at 9 pm and has been on hiatus since Jan. 28, has shot 16 of 24 episodes this season. The final eight will apparently not be shot.

To replace "Two and a Half Men," CBS has ordered more episodes of "Mike and Molly," another Lorre-produced show, and "Rules of Engagement."

But even with Sheen's public misbehavior, his show has been performing in the ratings, remaining the most-watched comedy on TV.

Needless to say, Sheen does not appear to be following a rehabilitation program that he'd supposedly committed to in the past few weeks.

In his rant on right-wing talk "The Alex Jones Show" on Thursday, Sheen let loose on his boss and erstwhile friend, Chuck Lorre.

More on TheWrap: Sheen Tears Into 'Men' Creator, AA and Thomas Jefferson

"It's nothing this side of deplorable that a certain Haim Levine, yeah, that's Chuck's real name, mistook this rock star for his own selfish exit strategy, bro," Sheen said. "Check it, Alex. I embarrassed him in front of his children and the world by healing at a pace that his unevolved mind cannot process."

He continued:

"OK, last I checked, Haim, I've spent, I think, close to the last decade effortlessly and magically converting your tin cans into pure gold, and the gratitude I get is this charlatan chose not to do his job, which is write. Clearly someone who thinks he is above the law. Well, you've been warned, dude. Bring it."

Sheen said he didn't believe in the Bible, which was full of "talking snakes."

And he advised Sunday churchgoers: "(You're) missing a lot of good sports, people."

There were also some additional, confusing references to ninjas.

Later in the day, Sheen contacted TMZ with more of the same bile. "I violently hate Chaim Levine (Chuck Lorre), the site reported Sheen saying. "He's a stupid, stupid little man and a p**sy punk that I'd never want to be like." Sheen added, "That's me being polite."

Sheen had taunted Lorre, CBS and Warner Brothers before, saying that he was ready to go back to work even though he was meant to be taking time off to "recover" from several weekend binges with prostitutes and drugs, one of which landed him in the hospital.

The actor has been in the headlines since late October, when he was found in his suite in the Plaza hotel, naked and ranting with a porn star in the bathroom. His representatives claimed his hospital visit that followed was due to a reaction to medication.

CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler told the Television Critics Association on Jan. 14 that she and the network had a "high level of concern" over the actor's antics.

Two other weekend frolics in Las Vegas similarly raised concern with the network and television production company, but at first the corporate parents said they had no recourse if Sheen showed up to work.

That position changed after a final 36-hour bender in late January, when Sheen was finally pressed to go to rehab. Instead, he chose to take "treatment" at home.

WOW, for some reason listening to Charlie Sheen reminded me of a conversation I had with JoeE back in the days...

Never found any of the advertisements very funny. All set up lines and wise cracks sprinkled with babes. It's ok though because I'm outside the target demographic.

i have found the show entertaining over the years, though his brother is quite annoying and his humor a bit slapstick'ish. Without Charlie, i cant see it being much of a success.
as with any show, i typically "tivo" it and watch on my time.

i do believe it has run its course, storylines are getting very thin and Charlie is not going to last through next yeat, lets face it, they guy is snorting and smoking crack cocaine by the boatloads.. and he has given up on any kind of rehab. goodnight charlie, enjoy the ride.
