so, i am searching google, now, bottom input field is missing, i am like what the hell? now i see there is no more option to put the input box back, great ... now, i see that i am on https, are you serious? searched google on https and got info that google is redirecting logged in users to encrypted https search, for more security ... are you fucking serious? what fucking stupid dumb old bitches are doing that fucked up things there? are you fucking serious?

Interesting . . . . if I search with Chrome, I get the https, but with Firefox I get http. I had goodgirl try and she got http with Chrome.

She thought the lower search box has been gone for a while, but I thought it was there the last time I looked.

The bottom box seems to be dependent on your accounts settings. Some of my accounts have a box, some do not. Which setting exactly that is, I'm not sure, but check your options and also your Google Chrome options.

Google announced a long time ago that they were moving to https secure searches for anyone logged into google... Has the SEO industry up in arms about it since it means you can't get referer info for those searches.

I still get the bottom search box.

yep, same reason they made the search numbers huge when the average user doesn't give a fuck. It's because it pushes organic results down and out of the page leaving almost only ads above the fold.

use a useragent switcher to change your useragent to an older version of firefox and you'll get the old style serps (with bottom search box)... also a lot faster
