Lifetime guarantee means it either will work or they'll kill ya, hehe.

Congrats, it sounds like a decent deal unless it cost a million dollars or whatever.

Can you see/focus on things really close up? It might be better to try this when it settles, or anyone else who had it might know, but I always wondered if it had the same problem as contacts. With contacts, much more than glasses, viewing things really close up is difficult/impossible. No focus. But at least contacts and glasses can be removed and viewing with the naked eye close up is sharp. I would hate to have surgery and then have permanent blurred/unfocused vision when looking at things very close up.

You are going to want to open your eyes slowly in the morning. They are healing and have scabs which your eyelids can rip off at first.

Hope you heal well. I have bad vision in both eyes and have thought about that procedure over the years but I'm tested at 20-15 vision with my daily disposable contacts. And I'd rather not take the risk of complications to the health of my eyes.

Yeah, I was thinking of something like threading a needle. Not necessarily that but similar closeness. Contacts are good for better field of vision, and great for long distance but close up sucks. I totally envy people who can wake up in the morning and be able to see clearly.

That reminds me of reading or seeing it on TV when I was a kid, when they did it in the Soviet Union, before lasers, so IIRC they cut the eye by hand. Even with lasers I'd be too scared something went wrong.

I have been thinking about going thru eye laser surgery myself. I currently use contacts and I have 2 pairs of eye glasses. I go about two weeks with contacts and another two weeks with the glasses (to rest the eyes from the contacts).

If I go thru with it I'm still gonna get a pair of glasses (without prescription of course) since girls dig the nerdy, smart look from my experience and they look quite good on me.

Congrats! post an update tomorrow
I've been reluctant to do it here (eastern europe) similar price, they say they're good and sound serious, but I still have a feeling I should be getting it done in the states (which makes the trip a hassle instead of leisure). And I'm so sick of contacts & not being able to look while diving or in waterparks and whatnot..

I want to get that done as well, my vision has been very stable for 10 years now so I should really look into it. Glasses are a pain, and contacts get so dry when looking at a computer screen.

I did it too, best investment ever made. I would recommend it to anyone even considering it.

It is painless. At worst, you're just AWARE of what is going on when they make the incision. The laser part literally takes 1 or 2 seconds.

I had both eyes incised and lasered and the whole process took less than 10 minutes. Immediately after, you sit up in the chair and have you read an eye chart where you realize you have awesome vision.

After your procedure they give you something to make you fall asleep when you go home so that your eyes can stay closed for a while I guess. The first day it felt like my eyes were a little dry / I had something small and scratchy in them. After that, everything felt normal.

There's no insane desire to rub your eyes or anything like that.

I did it a few years ago, one of the best decisions in my life.
No more annoying contacts, and I was spending crazy amounts on contacts so it was a good choice financially as well.

The procedure is so fast and simple. You come in, lay down, they do their work (just a few minutes) and you can see clearly right away. It's a bit sensitive the first day, but after that it's like you have perfect eyes.

Also, for the people that are afraid or that it's risky, it's not at all. It's a bit scary, but it's not risky.

Don't be afraid, it will change your life!

Of course there are risks involved, just as with everything else in life. Laser eye surgery has never resulted in anyone going blind. If there are complications they are usually small and easily treatable.

there is one downside btw - since i am not the youngest anymore, i will now need reading glasses at some point.

but i rather wear those when i read or sit at the computer but be able to go outside, swim play football, drive etc without glasses after all those years

Laser eye surgery is not a good thing. You will see it when the night comes or you will be in dark places. Lens effect and blurred light is what you will see.

Also, it's not a good move to do such a surgery in Czech instead of Germany. Germany is worldwide leader in medicine. This is fact that they are a lot more expensive, but you pay for their great quality.
This is your health. This is your eyes. There is no room for saving money for such things.
