It depends! Fighting small chargebacks is hard to do and hardly worth it, but fighting big chargebacks really pays off. See https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1064...e+chargeba ck

I have attempted it, but its a losing battle. Once you get that letter in the mail its pretty much a done deal.

I have including email exchanges, delivery confirmations, IP addresses... all for naught.

I have been fighting them tooth and nail, for about 2 months now, after 4 years of just taking it and moving on. So far it is a complete waste of time unless you consider it worth while to make your bank do some work in exchange for their 25 dollar CB fine.

The first reversal denial I got back stated that I had no proof any service had been rendered, even though I had positive AVS, CVV2 match and user logs showing the customer logging in from the same IP he purchased from and entering chat rooms with live models.

I called the chargeback department and asked them about it and they said that without a physical signature of some kind there was no way I would ever be able to prove my case. I don't know how a website is supposed to be able to provide this, I guess we are just fucked.

Fighting charge backs means having the bank side against their own client in a zero liability transaction. Pretty obvious why thats problematic no matter what the circumstances are.

I was fighting chargebacks for a little over a year full time and I can completely agree with the frustration here when I started. I had called our CB department when I started as well and was told I'd never win a case as well. Took a good month of figuring out how to fight chargebacks over virtual sales with no actual goods delivered but when I do fight them I have about a 90%+ win rate with Visa and MC, near 100% with Discover. Takes maybe 7-10min per case to file at this point so it's a little more cost effective than when I started.

I'm not sure what it'd be like fighting any CB's from the cam credit purchase side of things since I've only dealt with them on the dating site side of things. Guess a hi won't be my first post on GFY but the CB threads intrigued me. I always hear everyone talk about not being able to win the disputes against the banks that come out on top either way but I've found it to be the complete opposite.

I don't know exactly how our security department does it and verifies orders, but we almost don't have any chargebacks.

Some affiliates complain sometimes that we are verifying orders too long, but I guess if these affiliates saw chargebacks in their stats, they would be more disappointed

Are you shipping physical goods though? There's a huge difference in any disputes even being started over something that has to be physically signed for on delivery vs online purchase for virtual goods that don't require a physical signature.

Yes, we ship physical goods. Yes, most likely CB issue is worse when selling virtual goods.

Have you determined the reason for your chargebacks?

Totally depends on the situation. If they're significant, and particularly bullshit, then of course I'll fight them. Every dollar counts.
