A difference in opinion and solutions doesn't mean superior intellect. You are attaching that to it. You have made numerous comments in the past that its too 'blue collar' here and basically infer that those who aren't as successful as yourself couldn't or shouldn't have good ideas and contributions. Thats what the video was for, to show you how silly that is.
Then why bother jumping in to this. I made the comment to newnick who did call me and anyone else who doesn't agree with him an idiot.
And the fact is, almost everytime I log in here it's the same thing. Self proclaimed geniuses that have done nothing but talk shit on a BBS. Not terribly impressive.

I don't know. Its really a waste of time for everyone involved.

I don't agree that those who want changes have to be involved in the process in order to be able to have such an opinion. You mock them with your constant posting of paying for plane tickets to collect guns. Yet you take issue with newnick doing the exact same thing?

that's the Militia part - the United States was born of revolution against tyranny, it was a brand new country held together by a piece of paper, in theory an amazing idea, but no guarantee it would work - they wanted to make sure the citizens could fight back against a government that went rogue.

Of course I will mock them. Too many people that don't live or pay taxes in the US have grand opinions about what and how we need to do things. They have no idea what they are talking about and maybe was here one time for a vacation. And always they are disrespectful about it because they are safely tucked away behind a keyboard.

Here is the difference. In the decade that I have been posting here, I have never said anything to anyone that I wouldn't say to their face.

Just like your article says, having an armed guard present isn't a guarantee of anything. Your talking about a huge amount of territory and a lot of people to protect - three armed guards isn't going to be enough. They had armed guards at Columbine and it didn't stop them.

There is no one solution. I'm not against armed guards at school. But it's a measure to stop the crime as it's happening instead of trying to prevent the crime in the first place. We need to be preventive - We need to help those are mentally ill and help those who are borderline mentally ill, and we need to prevent firearms from getting into their hands.

Your wrong. We might have had an army, but in the event of attack it would take days or weeks before the proper people in the government knew about it and even longer for them to get word to the Army to do something about it.

The people would be expected to protect and defend themselves for weeks until the US military was able to respond. The citizens were expected to "repel invasions".

It did not stop them it slowed the killing down. Do you not understand this???

NOTHING besides Magic would "STOP" every killing. A Time machine to go back before guns were invented.

Geezzz -- and NOT ONE thing you mention will "STOP THEM"

But we shouldn't be talking about stopping a killer after he has started shooting. We need to prevent the shooter from ever getting a firearm.

If there was a law in place that prevented this woman from having an assault rifle and multiple handguns in the first place - a simple law saying it is illegal to have firearms in a household where someone who has a diminished mental ability lives - would have prevented him from gaining access to firearms that day.

It's simple:
- Better healthcare for the mentally ill
- Better security at schools
- Restrictions on firearms aimed at preventing the mentally ill from getting hand guns and banning assault rifles.

It blows my fucking mind that his mother knew her child had problems, knew her child was a loner, yet saw nothing wrong with training him how to use an assault rifle or letting him lock himself up in the basement so he could play Call Of Duty all day long.

A simple law preventing his mother from having access to fire arms after the school assigned a head shrink to her kid could have prevented this.

my reply was to Tony saying we didn't have a standing army, we had a Army, Navy and Marine Corp, you should know that!

Yes, Militia was part of the defense of the country, but saying it took weeks till the government knew about troop movements? They had dispatch riders, you might have heard of a silver smith that was one, Paul Revere?

And yes Richard, we have discussed this before, In hate that we blew millions of tax payer dollars on a danish electric car that an average person can never afford and a Italian company can without any help and sell it for around $16k. The people that spent the stimulus wasted it!

The Obama administration was in charge when the loan was approved and $10 million from the stimulus was used for administrative expenses?

Do a fact check before you tell me I'm wrong.

base price of a Fisker Karma is $96K, Fiat built one for $16k. Burst my bubble? LOL
I'll say it again, responsible government would be building cars the middle class could afford, the Italians figured that out!!!

here is the difference, i not only don't care if people criticize or offer opinions about what goes on in canada, i welcome it. if we can't learn from each other then what good are we as people? (here is where you rant on that no one cares about what goes on in canada. that may be but its not the point)

sorry baby cant blame barry http://www.autoblog.com/2009/09/22/b...-doe-for-karm/

your boy georgie gave out a shitload of money
Earlier this year(they are talking about 2009), the DOE gave conditional loan commitments to Ford ($5.9 billion), Nissan ($1.6 billion) and Tesla Motors ($465 million). The money comes from the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing (ATVM) Loan program. All the details are available in the press releases below the fold.

Americans tend to have a habit of thinking they know what's best for America. Most Americans have never left America and the ones I know really don't care what happens elsewhere.

Here we have people from all over the planet telling us what is best for Americans. And most of those people have never been to America. Most of them are kids on top of that. Kids who have a lot of growing up to do.

I agree, you are not one of the typical smart mouth kids that pop in with a quick insult then don't come back to the conversation. Go back and read this thread from the beginning. You will see the people I am talking about.

Erm. Iraq. Pretty sure there has been some outside foren influence on that country/part of the world

If one can't take criticism on them selves f from someone else they really shouldn't impose it on someone else. Just my 2 cents

Why are you telling him? He wasn't President Jesus H.Christ.
Do you think that everyone in America is thrilled about all the police work we do around the world. Frankly, I would love to see all of our troops home. Close down every single base around the globe. It's nothing but a huge waste of money. Building nations... it's overated. Let them starve.

The current president has an email...Tell him.

Anyway let daddy Jesus in "your" American gun control thread explain the little you know about true American culture. That's a fact.

your boy georgie gave out a shitload of money
Earlier this year(they are talking about 2009), the DOE gave conditional loan commitments to Ford ($5.9 billion), Nissan ($1.6 billion) and Tesla Motors ($465 million). The money comes from the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing (ATVM) Loan program. All the details are available in the press releases below the fold.
Dude, why do I have to keep correcting you, it's embarrassing

Nissan? June 2009
http://green.autoblog.com/2009/06/23...o-build-evs-b/
Ford? June 2009
http://green.autoblog.com/2009/06/23...vmp-funds-for/
Tesla? June 2009
http://green.autoblog.com/2009/06/23...el-s-ev-power/

All these loans, gifts or what ever, were awarded while Obama was in office, you know, he started fucking up shit in January 2009.
And again, didn't care for Bush much.

So yeah, I can blame BARRY! Guy that handed out the checks was appointed by Barry

Has nothing to do wih him. It was just an opportunity to point out a state of mind, point of view or whatever you want to call it.

The last few weeks a lot on gfy and eerywhere else have argued over symptoms of the larger issues. Rather then medicating the symptoms why don't we "try" to cure the problems. Or fuck it lets bicker amongst outselves and solve nothing?

I agree, you are not one of the typical smart mouth kids that pop in with a quick insult then don't come back to the conversation. Go back and read this thread from the beginning. You will see the people I am talking about.
This makes no sense. They know what works in their country and we are so different? The problem is people like Minte live in fear of poor/black people. They don't want to admit but that is why they have guns. Their biggest fear is to lose these guns and have these people lose in their neighborhoods. It is sad but true.

No where near 70. Did you think of that all by yourself or did your baby sitter help you?

BUT if you're insane and like to run down the street smeared in your own shit, feel free to go buy a gun as this can't be verified as it's illegal for a doctor or mental health facility to disclose this.

So what was the origin of this or why is it illegal for medical records to be openly available? In the 80's the AID's epidemic scared healthcare insurance companies because of the high healthcare costs they soon dropped coverage for men with the slightest of AIDS symptoms. Thousands of gay men and later hemophiliacs with full-blown HIV died horrible deaths because they couldn't get healthcare. A liberal congress seeing this passed a law that medical records couldn't be available to the public ie., insurance company inquiries.

You see if you were American you'd know never to take anything literally in our country. Those kids died because 5 of the last school shooters all had medical mental conditions, but a special interest liberal law for the minority few prevented gun stores from having access to health records of the people with mental illness. ZERO Liberals will stepup and own that, and now these same liberals want to pass more laws, yet again, the minority interest to ban guns.

So an outsider not knowing this might look in and say, those fucking gun owners are crazy. I would, but what you obviously don't know, we are tired of being victims of minority interests.
so gay people are the cause that Adam Lanza took his mums guns and shot 26 people?

as much as i would like to argue on a civilized level - it just makes no sense in your case.

Thats really looks like an insult where you dont have any kind of argument that comes close to answering my points.

And so you dont get confused, here they are in simple bulleted points.

a) Because a problem appears to be difficult does not mean you should not attempt to tackle it.

b) There are historical precedents for dealing with a similar issue. i.e. Europe after WWII. Millions of unlicensed weapons of every variety.

Not really, Tony I consider you a friend and hope we can have a few beers sometime. Ever get out to LA, you have to let me know. Xbiz Awards I'm going to following around a 80's porn star with a video camera shooting a documentary for her.
I don't let this shit up set me anymore. If nothing else it's an exercise in using Google fast, helps with SEO and informs me more about whats going on, it's really a positive thing.

On the same subject, probably 8 years ago, even posted a picture of it. My stepfather was a machinist and had a client that bought an old 1900 series Gattling gun, a real one. Some parts were missing, he asked me and my brother in law to see if we could find a picture of one to go off of. My brother in law found a picture of one that was close, a 1902 model, I found the blue prints for the exact model. That was by far the pure funnest gun I have ever shot. Probably worth about $10k back then, it was a work of mechanical perfection. Just loaded the magazine and started turning the crank. but don't worry, I don't think anyone would be walking around with one.

I think what bothers me most about this call to get rid of assault weapons is how very little people know about the guns they want to get rid of. When I was in my 20's, I would get the model rockets from the hobby store, fill the nose with blue tip match heads and a little mixture of some chemicals I know about. Mount that in a 6 inch PVC tube with the igniter on the side and I had a bazooka. Same thing with a tennis ball, fill with match heads and black powder, throw it, boom. I can't believe I still have all my fingers after some of the shit I did. Take a can and fill it with diesel, gelatin and gasoline, pour into a balloon using a funnel, have a burn pile in the back yard when it was raining with 8 foot flames. After 9/11, stopped doing most of that. Guns are just a tool to me, nothing more. I work with fireworks and knowing that kind of stuff, a person could be very dangerous.

from the 4th at newport beach, 300 mortars in 47 seconds for the finale, after they take away the guns, they will wont to taker away everything else that idiots shouldn't be around that's fun. i own a 3 wheel ATC that's faster than shit. They say they are dangerous, I've had it since 1982 and never wrecked it

I'll say it again, responsible government would be building cars the middle class could afford, the Italians figured that out!!!
It's a loan. And a small one at that. It will be repaid back. But when Bush snuck in $200 mil in a US stimulus package for Filipino vets from WWII, that's perfectly fine.

Richard, when people discuss politics, why is there always a need to compare to another? I don't bring up Bush, stopped liking him when he went into Iraq. He didn't have a good reason for it. But when I question why Obama did something, somehow I like Bush? That makes no sense@!@!!

When the unemployment rate hung on 8% for a record time under the current administration, half a billion dollars could have been used for something constructive. You say it will be paid back, how do you know?
