Or 24 hours to 'sell' it... Sign it over to me if you want? Say I 'bought it' today on gfy for a pound, and the pounds in the post.

We can complete the forms, and whenever you want I'll sign it back to you...

Serious offer

It's not mine to sell. It belongs to the finance company so you would be a pound out of pocket and anyway, we all know you cunt a4d a pound.
I did consider selling it to my business but anyway, it's too late now.

Ahh, got yah. Its the finance company thats repoing it then? Fair enough. Bailiffs couldn't have taken it anyway if it wasn't the finance people / dealership doing the writ

I would see if you can just forfeit the car to the repo instead of having the bailiff coming out to not have it look as bad on your record, then go finance another, probably cheaper car, before that whole thing with the other car goes on your record..

I had that problem once with a buy here pay here place, it kept breaking down and cost me much more than it was worth per month, so I gave it back after not paying a couple of payments because of that, then bought my car now cash in full..

If you have a few hundred bucks file for bankruptcy today and they legally cannot take your car or demand payment from you.

Take a few months, or a year or longer if you file motions to stay ( extend the bankruptcy ), to get your shit together then file a motion to dismiss. You can call the bailiffs now and tell them you filed

Unless you just finished your bankruptcy and they're taking it back, is that what happened?

Not so sure it works like that in the UK.

If it's owned by the finance company then it's not his asset anyway.

yes, if he owes money, the car will have money owing on it, therefore the next person would owe the money.

But to save it being taken away, he could just pay what's owing on it or borrow the money to pay & then own the car

They wanted 11k. I couldn't afford that.

Got myself a nice replacement motor now anyway and honestly I'm glad it's gone.

Live and learn. I used to be like that but as you get older finance companies and banks literally throw money at you.
