![]() I've noticed a number of programs have either stopped updating their FHGs or worse dropped them completely.
Are FHGs and Affiliate Content still relevant ? Surely the blog ecosystem is still important to the affiliate landscape for programs, or is the vision to just supply banners for people to put on their cookie cutter tube sites ? Pimproll recently changed to NATS and there is no affiliate picture content or FHGs available, although to be fair Glenn says that it's in the pipeline at some undetermined time in the future. A few of the larger programs are still churning out FHGs but the rate is declining. Are we heading to a point where the only content programs will make available to us is banners ? Seems short sighted. There's already saturation when it comes to embedded tube sites and tube search sites. Picture sharing sites like Smutty and Sex.com rely on user uploaded content and almost none of it is affiliate content - but these sites are running lots of banners. Where are things heading ? Is your program committed to FHGs and affiliate content ? Or is it all too hard now ? |

I was never a fan of RSS feeds, everyone ended up with the same content.
Manually maintained and written blogs is where it was always at, which relies on affiliate content. More importantly surfers want fresh content and fresher content leads to better conversions. |

Hi!
We have a lot of FHG and we update it regularly! Pics FHG give as a many signups and good conversion. But very sad that many biggest pics TGP and pics CJ lost traffic and closed for last few year. Follow to Enjoy Bucks |

I think consumers are too sophisticated now for circle jerks. They have had their day. Some people still make bank with them, but a lot of them are gone.

I do not think you need to even use affiliates these days. OK, if your starting out, I guess affiliates will get you traffic. But to be honest, I think websites owners (as in paysites) should not reply on others, and do it themselves these days.

Yes, tube sites have a good position, google very like video, but you know that tubesites make money on ads and get most income from ads, not from sponsors..

in 2016 its easier to get promo content and make your own fhgs from site rips on forums than from programs directly.

We have a number of affiliates that use them and actually make good ratios with them. They work hard to filter the traffic and it shows.
I always love the statement of why use or have affiliates. Simple. they get traffic I dont and I dont have to work for that extra. Dont get me wrong I have my own but if they can push me over the top of my goal in traffic and such y not have them.

If there's no FHG, I usually email the program and get a bunch of content because no one asks them for it, or they are nice enough to give a promo pass with some rules attached.
I have no problem with that, in fact it makes it easier half the time. |
