Also, here's some of the new laws that go into effect today:

- The entire state will now ignore U.S. immigration law: Because it’s worked so well in San Francisco, California Democrats decided that the entire state should ignore federal immigration law. But, really, it’s not the government’s business how an employer and an applicant work out any mutually beneficial agreement.

- You can make up your gender on official state IDs: California will abolish its requirement that a person must undergo “clinically appropriate treatment for the purpose of gender transition” if they want to change the sex on their birth certificate, which means that men can say they’re women, and vice-versa, on state IDs like driver’s licenses. Beginning in 2019, driver’s licenses will have three options for sex: male, female, and nonbinary.

They said the same thing here in Oregon. At first, prices were high, not that high but high. Everyone bitched that prices were too high and sales wouldn't be there. Sales were fine and only grew because more and more stores opened and more and more growers went into business or expanded and now prices are fair, an 8th runs $20-$35 depending on what you get.

Right now there are a limited number of stores open in Cali. with many more rolling out over the next weeks and months. I have a feeling sales are going to be just fine.

If someone is here illegally they need to be deported. However, this is not the job of the local police departments. It's like forcing the FBI to hand out parking tickets - that's not their job.
