Next time you are thinking about making a minimally-informed story-du-jour political post, ask yourself what you are trying to accomplish. If the answer is you are just hoping to make other people feel bad, without changing minds or even sharing a unique perspective, please have some decency and shut up.

GFY used to be one of my favorite places to interact online.

I visit GFY less and less and post almost never these days.

The relentless political threads, many from paid posters who are not even in the industry, are just pretty unbearable at this point.

It is boring, unproductive, and unhealthy for anyone to wake up every day freaking out about macro events they can't impact.

If I wanted to have a bunch of unbelievably tedious mainstream water cooler conversations, I would have just gone the corporate cubicle route.

It would be nice if GFY did not support this clownish pseudo political nonsense. Can we please have a political subforum or ban anyone who posts more than 1 politics post per day?

Biggest offenders are Crockett & Bladewire. Just look at how many Trump threads they have littered on the front page.

There has always been a business forum, it's called Adult Q and A.. The main forum was always bullshit, but they allowed biz postings because it was the most popular section and more people visited it. Due to people using the fucking around area for biz, it never allowed the Q&A section to take off back then.. however its full of biz topics now, but some people cant seem to look past the front page so to speak..

I don't think the Q&A was supposed to be the Business forum. It is a teaching/learning forum for getting help with various aspects of the Adult Online Business.

This forum is not just the "Fucking Around" forum, it is also the "Program Discussion Forum". Program as in Sponsor and Affiliate Programs, which at the time GFY was born was the main business being discussed. Websites, Traffic, Sales.

I would hate the Q&A to end up filled with Program announcements and Business Spam, that belongs here.

Yeah, but to be fair the program announcements and biz spam were directed mostly at affiliates back then and the affiliate model is mostly dwindled to nothingness as have the affiliates..

There are still plenty of people playing the affiliate game. It's a bit different than it was, but it is still there.

The problem with Amellia is she's a hypocrite.
