webmaster refferal program
One thing that i have noticed with some of the big traffic buying sites.
is when i joined the webmaster refferal program i started making good money. And then just like that it stopped. there was no slowly trickling down, it just stopped. when i asked why they told me i need to refferer more webmaster. Has this happened to anyone else? |

Some referral programs are crooked. If shit like this happens, move on to the next one. No point in sticking with a company that pinches the hose just because you haven't sent them referrals for a while.

If you have referred many webmasters that made money, then it smells fishy. Find some other sponsor.

I would never cancel an affiliate just because they were not referring over more webmasters. That's crazy.

Was it multiple accounts that were actually making money for them, or maybe just one that was spending? Was your account suspended or dormant at all?
Especially for traffic brokers, people like to do tests, analyze data, then might never buy from that specific traffic broker again depending on the results. Seems normal to me, that type of buyer won't exactly trickle down.. Needs more info, and the company saying "You need more webmasters" needs to explain better. If you can see the webmasters that you've referred and when the referral money stopped, you could maybe contact the accounts that you referred and see if they're still making sales or not. Also, might be good to read their TOS to see if it's limited to one year or something stupid like that.

Well.. back in the day I referred a shit ton to.. forgot their name now. Yeah.. Escapes me. But I quickly got about 200 solid people under me. But then after trying the product they eventually moved on. Here and there. Now I think I get $25 a year in referrals? Used to be more like $400 a week. But I also was promoting them from a webmaster centered site. Like GFY! Only different. Anyway... People will try the new thing and then quickly people drop it. Since I had a pool of 10,000 people it took years to drop off. But if your pool is more like 25 then expect it to happen much sooner. Particularly if you cannot keep getting more referrals.

Webmasters try affiliate program and if they don't like it they move to another one. If you stop sending webmasters your earning will drop.
